The Hotel Cascade trades location for amenities. It is just a 100 feet (to the right) of the Bab Boujloud (Blue gate). Great location that is a 10 minute taxi ride from the Fez train station. You can easily start your exploration of the Fez old medina (Fex Bali) from the Cascade. Rooftop terrace provides meals, but spend your time...

150dh for a double with shared bathroom. Incredible location, the people watching from the little balcony on floor 2 is one of my fondest Morocco memories! Rooms are clean, bathroom not so much. Bring your own toilet paper. Hot water. Lots of maintenance work while we were there so quite noisy between that and the call to prayer... Please note...

A old worldly sort of a place, with a very nice charm! Primly located in the old Medina with the most wonderfully talented cook, 'Rusti' who will give you best meal in town on the upper terrace! Highly recommended!

The location could not be better! the hotel easy to find as it is just few steps from the Bab Boujeloud and has a very nice terrace on the roof. The rooms were rather clean, the toilets & showers a bit less clean but still OK for this price.

I spent five days and nights in the Cascade. You can't beat it for the price, and the location is fantastic as it's just inside the Bab Boujeloud and easy to return to when you're tired and frazzled. When I first walked in I had my doubts about the security of the hotel, but I quickly realized the staff is...

Some people may find it a bit grubby, but for thelocation and price its a good place. Stayed in room 7, which is a bit noisy, but okay nonetheless. Nice relaxed roof terrace. Watch you head taking the stairs when you are tall!

This is a really nice place to crash, you are not gonna find anything cheaper in Fez, we slept in the Terrace for 40 MAD night, Rachid, the guy up there, is nice and helpful, he will take care of your bags and staff and his food is lovely (if you have some budget to spend) if not the place...

A very cheap hostel right at one of the main entrances to the medina: stepping out of the door you are right in the cultural heart of Fes. The rooms are fairly clean but the bathrooms are quite grotty - standard in most of the places we saw in Morocco. The beds were comfortable and our room had a window...

Clean is word not known to the managers of this place, while they are kind and helpful, they are also a bit weird. One guy from the management, who also does the kitchen, slept in the corridors on the floor at night and went to the guest toilettes, without closing the doors! In general the bathrooms and toilettes are very...

As possible the least pricey hostel in the medina you get what you pay for: a cheap bed. It's cleanish, though the shared bathrooms are grubby, but what you get for free is a huge roof to hang out on, friendly guys running the place who will sort out taxis etc if you want them to, and you'll meet a...
