I have stayed at this hotel for 26 years and to be honest, it had been going downhill badly for years. The new owner and his family are cleaning up this historical property, made the rooms more modern with a fridge/microwave/coffee and good wifi. Best of all to me was the proprietor, Manny, went out of his way to help...

Such a wonderful experience! I have been coming to Amana's Christmas Prelude for many years but decided to come a little earlier this year. I arrived on Wednesday without reservations and was able to book a lovely room. The owner was so nice and polite! It was so nice to see a welcoming face with a big smile. I also...

I stayed in the older building on the property, which was beautifully historic. It has a great location in the middle of Amana that is perfect for being able to walk all around the village. The other villages only a short drive away, which is very convenient. Staff was super pleasant and the room was exceptionally clean. The room and...

My friend and I stayed 4 nights mid week in October. We had a great experience at this motel. Owners very friendly and always available. Clean comfortable room with refrigerator. She loved the morning coffee, I am a tea lover so I brought my own mug and used the microwave down the hall to heat water, worked out great. We...

5 ladies met here for a 3 day weekend family gathering. On a whole, we were satisfied. The new owner's were friendly and helpful. The owner asked me what they could do to improve our stay. We shared with them that somethings needed more frequent cleaning, such as windows, sills, picture frames, etc. The acrylic bathtub/shower units need to be...

This motel now has new owners and managers. I and my family have stayed here many times in the past. We were very happy to see improvements made to the rooms and the property as a whole. We stayed this time during the Oktoberfest and the rates were very reasonable. The motel is centrally located to everything in town. Once...

We have been staying at the Guest House every October for 25 years and last year (2015) were concerned with the condition of the property. We were thrilled this year (2016) not only with the improvements the new management has made (hairdryers and fridges in the rooms: morning coffee in the office; ice on every floor; microwave available on the...

Selected this hotel because it was near most places we wanted to see. Do not like to drive at night. Were able to walk to most shops and restaurants. Hotel was comfortable and clean, nothing fancy, but great place to stay because of location and reasonable prices. Owners were courteous and made excellent coffee.
