Very convenient, comfortable and classic characteristics of the period architecture of the Amana colonies. Innkeeper Marye Louise was friendly, welcoming and delighted in discussing the history of the area. Great breakfast was a perfect send off treat!

Thanks to all my fascinating guests, I do have the most enjoyable job! But the best part, by far, of running a bed and breakfast, is the wonderful, thoughtful, interesting guests that I get to meet.

We have stayed several times at the Prairie Rose and it has never disappointed. The room was spotless and comfortable. We had fresh back brownies waiting for us on arrival. The breakfasts were excellent with generous portions and included fresh berries and local products. Marye is a delightful hostess and tries to accommodate guests in every way.

Proprietor, Mary, is so very nice. This place is really special. Very comfortable and clean room, Tastefully decorated. Excellent breakfast. Off the main drag so more private, but still within walking distance of downtown. Price is very reasonable for B & B.

My wife and I came to Cedar Rapids from the UK part on business but largely for pleasure and we had been recommended "A Prairie Rose" Bed and Breakfast in the Amana Colonies as somewhere we might like to stay. We were lucky enough to call at the last minute and get a room. Our room was clean and lovely. The bed was comfortable and the sheets soft. We had a private bathroom which was spacious and contained anything we would need @ soaps, shampoo, conditioner, hair dryer and fluffy towels. Breakfast was delicious. We enjoyed fresh berries, wonderful blackberry...

Marye is a gem and I miss her already! My husband and I stayed in the Blue Delft room. Our accommodation was very clean and included a small refrigerator, television, robes and a very comfy queen bed. The extra pillows and blankets are much appreciated. Although the bathroom is not attached to the bedroom, it is just a few steps...

First, I'm a big fan of places with rich history. Amana has it. Prairie Rose is a great place to stay. It's like a home away from home. The owner, Marye, treats all of her guests like life long friends. She provides a hearty, hot breakfast, paying special attention to any allergies a guest may have. We would definitely stay...

We had heard many good things about the Amana Colonies and thought it would be neat to stay here on our cross country vacation. This was our first stop from Northern Illinois so it only took us a few hours to get here. Marye was a very kind and welcoming innkeeper of Prairie Rose B&B. I was impressed she knew...
