In summary it was a good stay. We had issues with our room key not opening our door that was problematic but handled well by the front desk with assistance from the bell stand letting us into our room. The bed was comfortable and the pillows in excellent condition. Coffee maker in the room with a packet of Honduran coffee.... More

3.5 stars. Location was ok for us. Walkable to some tourist restaurants. Breakfast buffet was ok, I liked the scrambled eggs (not soupy or runny) and the spice bread. The rest of the pastry table was very dry. Papaya and fruit was fresh. Coffee is ok, not the best. Bar is nice to sit out, but weak drinks!! The room... More

The hotel is modern with a lot of amenities. The room was quite large and the bed was very comfortable. However, occasionally the Internet was slow, but that was the only problem. The breakfast buffet was excellent with a wide variety of choices of fruits and hot food. In addition, the restaurant is really good although the prices are a... More

I was here for a rotary conference. The food served was rather mediocre and there were lots of small annoyances. Not enough hot water in the morning for example. To go anywhere in the elevator you had to use your room key for security, fine, but often it wouldn't read the card or by the time you swiped the card... More

After our week-long medical mission in the rural hills of Honduras we spent our final night at the Maya. It was pure comfort. My room was spotlessly clean. The bed was possibly the most comfortable I had ever experienced. The Maya offered everything we desired, including pool and hot tub (both quite well cared for). A substantial breakfast buffet was... The hotel is an old one which was probably renovated about a decade ago. That does make the experience a bit drab. Otherwise the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. Rooms facing the mountains have a great view but not so much in those facing the front of the hotel. Big glass windows in rooms provide a fabulous... More

I stay in this hotel at least 3 times a year, and love to see familiar faces eager to please. Rooms are comfortable, and I love the location on the mountain overlooking the city. I am not as fond of the current menu in the restaurant as it is not so conducive for groups that we bring to the hotel,... More

The room was very well maintained, all amenities available and the security was awesome. Everyone I dealt with spoke English and were ready to assist in anyway possible.Supper on the lower level was excellent and the breakfast buffet had so many choices it was hard to choose, even cooked to order eggs..

Stayed here for 2 weeks on business - didn't pick the hotel, I had to stay there. I had exactly 1 hot shower the entire stay (and not for lack of showering). Water was usually lukewarm, sometimes had to run the shower for 10-15 minutes just to get to lukewarm. The carpets were dingy - felt like I needed to... More
