Really bad. When I arrived the receptionists couldn't find my booking (done by someone else) at Hotel Copantl, so I had to pay again. When they realised, they took me to my Suite friendly enough, and promised to reimburse me with the amount paid. All good so far. However, I never received this money back, after emailing every week. Now the room has been paid for double, due to their mistakes.

Comfortable, well priced, great location and helpful staff. Spent one night only, breakfast was included. I also had dinner at restaurant at the Convention Center of hotel. Food was delicious. Excellent swimming pool!!! The hotel also has tennis courts.

Nice hotel, lovely pool, wheelchair accessible ( except the toilets are too low) comes with breakfast that is just average, very Honduran. Desk staff are not bilingual but very nice Near city mall and chucky cheese multi mall. Nice place for families to stay. Don’t be put off by their convention centre name. It is not packed.

Great star! Beautiful accommodations and lobby. On the spot shuttle service. Great English speaking skills. If you don’t speak Spanish. I had been there six months earlier, and one of the valet/Bill Boyd greeted me like an old friend! I was part of a large group and we had a superb breakfast every morning. The rooftop steakhouse is top notch. Felt incredibly safe the entire time. They have a great gym and a beautiful pool as well.

Overpriced and out dated. Not family friendly. They are more concerned with there night club than their guest sleep. Music blasting in main area which echos throughout all of the 2nd and 3rd floor until 1am. If you want to sleep, don’t stay on those floors. Also, obviously they don’t have security cameras… couple up to no good on 3rd floor hallway. Save your money, stay somewhere else.

This has to be the nicest large hotels in San Pedro Sula. The rooms are clean, comfortable, and air conditioned. Hot water and good pressure were reliable in the shower. Downstairs are a few shops for buying souvenirs. The restaurant has a buffet for breakfast, lunch, and dinner with reasonable prices, and breakfast is included. The hotel is within walking distance of a couple malls. We went to Multiplaza San Pedro Sula (15 min) for lunch and shopping. Also, hospital CEMESA is within walking distance (10 min), so we were able to get our COVID tests with results emailed to us in a few hours before flying back to the US. The hotel has good security, and guests must show their room keys before entering the parking area. Taxi vans are available outside the hotel for transport to the airport (30 min drive).…

As a frequenter of this hotel I have to write this review as the Copantl lost in the last 2 years a lot amenities. Maybe look for my review from 2009!? The situation improved a lot. Especially with the swiss manager. Food, rooms and infrastructure improved a lot. Since she left it seems the hotel is going back thinking cheap! Actually is not worth to stay in this hotel for a $100/night!!! (Of course I have to consider the actual limitations by covid, but this is not an excuse for main issues) - Just a little menu and buffet. In the menu you’ll find whether soups or salads...this is sad - No Butter/Margarine/Marmalade on Breakfast available anymore - new staff, seems sometimes not well trained - Bar is closed...what a loss - Internet is sometimes down for short moments....and not many guests at the moment. - Pool got renewed....now just a little water with too many people/kids in. The water is foggy and I don't want to enter in this dirty pool. - A lot noisy parties annoying (in the night and also on day time, especially on weekends - still same noisy AC as 20 years ago It seems that the hotel is now more focused on the convention center…as you see the pictures show mainly this. Just have to tell the Copantl management that they have to improve asap, as I would choose next time another nice hotel in SPS. Usually people choosing this hotel for great food, bar and excellent service – even with some disadvantages, but when this basics are not given its really not worth to stay there.…

Regarding your comment on our Buffet Breakfast, we are continually trying to improve the variety and quality of food items that we offer. I will personally follow up on this to improve with our kitchen staff. The pool has been renewed and our maintenance department frequently cleans and disinfects it to ensure we meet sanitary regulations. Regarding the bar, according to our COVID regulations provided by the government we don't have an authorization to open it to the public yet, but we offer cocktails and drinks at our other restaurants: CBari and La Churrasquería. We are committed to giving our guests the quality experience they deserve, so we will make sure to improve in every point you mentioned. I have co-led a group of 30 or so college students to Honduras for the last 6 years. We have spent the last five years here o our final night in country. This year, after arriving at 3pm, we were told that our rooms would not be available until 7pm. They showed little concern and offered no significant compensation. This behavior is both unprofessional and unacceptable. We will not return to this hotel in the future. And we can no longer, in good faith, recommend it to anyone else.

After five years of successfully bringing a group of 32 college students on tour each January we are through. A soccer team requested to stay in the rooms we had reserved until 5 pm and we were told we could not check in until 7 pm. No manager would speak with us. They offered us no compensation. So we walked away and we are done with them. Foreign travelers beware. They clearly favor nationals.

I would give 3.5 stars our of 5. We were booked by the Export Chamber of the Indian Government while on a Business Delegation to San Pedro Sula in November 2019. Don't get me wrong, I love old Hotels with their unique characters & history, and I loved Hotel Copantl's facade, Restaurants, Lobby, Old Wooden Furnishings, Chandeliers, etc but the rooms were dated. The rooms need to evolve with the technology & time, it was like staying in the same room which was untouched since the early 80's. Also the TV did not have any English Channels. The staff were nice including the Reception Staff, Room Service Staff & Housekeeping Staff. I ate lunch at C-Bari Deli located outside the main building but below the Convention Center & the food was good. Its a modern cafe / Deli. Unfortunately, I could not dine at the La Churrasqueria (7th Floor Restaurant) but wanted to. The Hotel Bar - The Popol Nah is quite basic & regular. I had to use the restroom & had to leave the bar to use the lobby toilet. I was disappointing to find the basic toilet in a fine Hotel like Copantl. It urgently needs up-gradation (like the convention hall toilet in the parking area). I will stay again if they update their guest rooms. Also, please avoid staying on the 2nd floor as all the noise from the Restaurant & Bar will disturb you in your room.…
