My family stayed here two nights and wished for more. Richard, the owner, is a mensch and couldn't have been nicer and a better host. Also his staff was very friendly and professional. Lastly, the food was excellent. The family had a great time on the river w/ some rafting too. Good vibes!

We stayed here for 2 weeks on and off this August and loved the low key, relaxed vibe the place and staff have. Richard and his team went out of their way to make our stay feel like a home away from home. We stayed in the Bejuco villa, overlooking river and waterfall, it was great for relaxing on the... More

We stayed in the Tucano Villa for 10 days with our three kids (age 0, 4 and 8) and had a fantastic time. Villas Pico Bonito is a perfect place for relaxing, cooling down and enjoying the great views of Pico Bonito National Park and the Rio Cangrejal, either from your terrace or the beautiful infinity pool. There's nothing like... More

I have run out of superlatives for my stay at VPB and I will continue to visit every time I am in Honduras. Richard has created and maintained a stunning property with all of the right care and attention a remote location requires. The road up can be bumpy, however that is absolutely nothing to do with the resort and... More

We stayed for three nights in the Calibri Lodge from Monday 16 May 2016. Our expectations had been set by the highly rated reviews here, and they were definitely met. Travelling on a budget but looking for a little luxury, we took advantage of the weekday May offer on the VPB website. The Colibri Lodge was a perfect size for... More

Wow! great review full of so many great points for those on a budget. We cater to all. We have budget lodges all the way up to lodges at the top of popularity for uniqueness and location. Yes they are more expensive but if you come with your friends the cost per person is surprisingly inexpensive! More

Thanks for your review. Thanks especially for mentioning safety. We are far away from the areas that the cartels and gangs operate and never ever go close to those areas on any of our tours. 70% of Honduras is safe and full of friendly, helpful people!.
