Today is October 9, 2014, and we returned home yesterday. Saturday and Sunday, October 1 and 2, we stayed at Hotel Camino Maya. The food was fine; the service is fine; the people are great. Since we were assigned to the third floor and I...More

Great location, nice staff, clean room and great views from the 3rd floor and nice breakfast. I have been to Copan a few times but never stayed there. This time we stayed for 2 nights and the Hotel Camino Maya was perfect.

If you're traveling to Copan Ruinas from San Pedro Sula, I would recommend taking the Hedman Alas bus. You can check the bus schedule online and go ahead and buy your tickets. Depending on your arrival time to San Pedro Sula, you might have to spend the night in SAP and catch the bus the following day. First class, "executive plus" is around US $60. I usually stay at Metrotel Express on both ends of my trip. It's not very far from the airport. Hope this helped?

"Everything ends at 8 pm in Copán. There are no discotheques, bars or night clubs. You will sleep fine."
