Berakah is located within the heart of the town. It’s a colorful hostel that has rooms for an affordable rate. I stayed at the 4-bedroom dormitory for 10 USD per night. I love their balcony because of its comfy hammocks and couches. Rooms and bathrooms are clean. They welcome their customers with a kind and polite smile. ❤️ #LetsDoThis
One of the only hostel options there are in the city if not the only one. A bit pricey in my opinion for what is offered: 7$ for a dorm with a fan without breakfast. Nice that it has a kitchen and the area is cosy.
We got to the center by bus (Hedman Alas) and took a tuktuk (appr 20q pp is normal). Arriving at the hostal, the service was great. The receptionist was kind and helpful. The room was clean, and great cost vs quality ratio. The area (it is a small town) is very relaxed and didn’t feel safe during day or evening at all. I recommend everyone to go to Copan; not to worry about safety and while at it, stay at this hostel!!
The staff was very friendly. Sara was amazing. We arrived around midnight without reservations, she helped all 17 of us get settled in. She showed us where to get dinner, gave us maps to all the tourist attractions. Sara really made us feel like home. Muchas gracias Sara!
Hostal Berakah is a basic hostel with really low priced rooms, so no complaints. Plus it was quiet. I stayed one night, so all good but I wouldn't do it long term. There is a very basic kitchen in the annex, large balcony in main hostel and a patio in annex. No cafe on site. Centrally located but then Copan Ruinas is a tiny town. They took care of my shuttle to Antigua.
