Hotel Plaza Copan was as delightful as was the trip entirely. "Hotel Plaza Copan"in Copan Ruinas,Honduras, Hotel staff were all so very welcoming, accommodating and simply the most wonderful people. We were there on a missionary trip and this was my first time traveling into South Central America. I had no idea what to expect and found in this very poor country, more plesantry, hospitality, and graciousness than any US city I've experienced.
The hotel was a bit disappointing. The room was ok, although not enough electric plugs, bad internet, and the hotel pool was too cold to put a toe in. The breakfast was also mediocre. I'd try something else if I ever went back. The location is great though, very central, and the parking was free.
The staff working here ara very kind and helpful.Check-in was very quick. The rooms were not very big but clean and comfortable. When we returned from our excursion to Copan ruins our cold fruit beverages were waiting for us in the lobby.
Situated right on the town square, this hotel is rather rustic which adds to its charm. Breakfast wasn’t included in our deal, but there were plenty of places to eat anyway. Close to the bird park and zip lining, both of which are worth a visit. Basic, but clean.
We booked two rooms for a night, and at time of arrival at around 9pm, the young men at the desk greeted us with a nice welcome smile and offer us a bottle of cold water...our rooms were clean and had comfortable beds. The A/C units worked properly and the showers had good hot water pressure...They are located in front of the central park and only 5-10 minutes away from the ruins...they offer a breakfast in their restaurant including local food such as bean and eggs as well as pancakes and fruit salad...we will definitely recommend this place and will not hesitate to stay there again
