We had to find a hotel because my brother got sick (outer ear infection) and we couldn't stay in the hostel we had booked because of this. We just had one night as we wanted to catch the ferry as soon as possible and Colibri Hill got recommended by a few persons working locally on the island. We got there...

Our family stayed here for 2 weeks in October. The grounds were well kept and beautiful and the atmosphere was relaxing and quiet. Only a few minutes walk to town center and the public beach. The restaurant is a must, we ate at it every time they were open during our vacation and had the most delicious meals. By the...

Every detail is tended to in this small (five guest rooms) property that makes you feel like an invited guest on a gorgeous estate. Amazing views, incredibly personalized service, and exceptional, yet reasonably priced (for what they offer) hotel on the southern Puntarenas Coast of Costa Rica. Lots of ex-pats here, so you'll feel right at home, away from home.

From start to finish this place was amazing. Away from the hustle and bustle of the main street and the tourist traffic. The location of the hotel is ideal for those that want to near their favorite dive shop or a stones throw away from their favorite night club.

We stayed one night at Colibri Hill on our first adventure to Islas de la Bahia. In hindsight, we would have stayed several nights after meeting the managers of the Colibri and seeing how quaint and peaceful the Colibri Hill Resort is. The rooms are clean and comforting. The resort is well looked after and cared for by a very...

They have a great staff. They make you feel at home. You can go there and have a good rest after partying and you will wake up recharged and good to keep going. You can have a nice stay at Utila if you go to Colibri Hill.

Stayed here with several friends over a long weekend of diving. All of us being in our 30's, staying at a backpacker dorm/hostel wasn't ideal, and this was a welcome alternative. Far enough away from the main strip to be quiet, but close enough that we could enjoy the night life. The rooms were well appointed (no need for tv...

The Colibri Hill is a partner of Gunters Ecomarine Dive Shop and it was an easy three minute walk away. Positives - the location is off a side street which really helped in keeping noise from the motorcycles, tuk tuks and golf carts on the main street down. - the room rate was very reasonable - I had a breezy...
