Our hosts,Peter and Lisa were fabulously warm and kind and helpful! We enjoyed playing music there while we vacationed, snorkeled and explored the island! The high point was going out to a shipwreck from 1840 with captain Henry and snorkeling around it! Everything, especially the food there was fantastic !

I have visited this establishment 2 months after it's opening for dinner. I remember being very uncomfortable due to mosquito bites. It was hard to enjoy our dinner. Gary, the owner at the time was very nice and did everything to comfort us. So after many years I went back again to stay for 2 weeks with my fiancé and...

Difficult for those with mobility problems. All villas are stilt homes. 3 steps to wooden pool deck from beach on either side with no railings & some flimsy boards. Steps into pool but no railings & I couldn't get in or out of pool without husband's help. Five steps from restaurant area to pathway do have railings but NO lights...

we stayed in tropical villa for 1 month in jan / feb. it is quiet and tucked in the trees. no view of the ocean, but a 1 min walk to a very private beach. this is also one of the only properties around with it's own private pool which is the real selling feature of this place. the 3...

Just back from a family vacation to Roatan. First trip there and we will be back! This lodge is certainly off the beaten track. Best to have a high clearance vehicle (we had a mid size SUV) to go in and out as the road can be a bit challenging, especially if it is raining. Buy your groceries on the...

This was a return trip to Roatan and to Palmetto for our "skipping Christmas Holiday" with our adult children. Our Christmas gift to them. If you want night life and excitement, this is NOT the place for you. However, if you want to be off the beaten track, relax, revitalize and spend quality time with those you want to reconnect...

Palmetto Bay Resort stretches the imagination. It is not a Resort as I know. The home is in excellent condition! Very nice home, comfortable, full kitchen and laundry! AC in the bedrooms only, not much breeze reaches the home. Lisa, the NEW property manager is very nice, completely trust worthy, wants your stay to be very pleasant. The grill on...

We just spent a week at Palmetto Bay with 3 children and loved it. Our rental home was beautifully decorated, well stocked with towels, kitchen appliances, movies and games. If you are looking to be "in the action" this may not be the right spot for you - but if you are looking for privacy, beauty of the tropical jungle,...

This is not a resort, houses are owned by individuals (Receptionist told us this), and they pay for maintenance, some of they don't pay, and service is not available for everybody. No A/C, no WiFi, no housekeeping service. Poor hygiene, no perimeter security. Terrible road access. Impossible to leave the place in case of emergency. Poor administration. No body responsible...

What an enjoyable Christmas & New Year's Vacation my family and I just finished at Palmetto Bay Plantation. We enjoyed 14 beautiful days. The location and setting were perfect for us. Palmetto Bay's isolated and quiet setting fit our needs perfectly. The beach, if there were dozen people there, it was busy. The diving through Black Pearl Divers was amazing...
