Talk about getting away. This Place is a once in a lifetime experience. The hotel is neat and clean and right at the park. We stayed 2 days to explore and didn't get to all the sites. Sunrise tour by Ceasar was a great guide. He was knowleadgeable about the sites and plants/trees. What a magical experience. Walked around all day then went back to the hotel pool for great service by a young lady Iza. Nice jungle drinks and well made food. don't expect a TV. Get out and explore.
The hotel is amazing!! The rooms are spectacular specially the Jr. Suite. We did the night tour, and returning after a 10 mile hike, to the pool and a nice bath was priceless The food and the drinks were excellent
We used the Fox as our Tour Guide and he was super knowledge and friendly. Spoke perfect English! We went for the Sunrise Tour which you have to get up super early, like around 4 AM but its work it the view is breath taking.
The hotel is located inside Tikal, so you will be able to make the sunrise and sunset tours, only available to those staying in hotels inside the park. In the hotel you can live the complete experience of being in the jungle, you can see toucans, monkeys, coatis and a great variety of birds and plants. SUPER recommended!
First, the location is stunning in a lovely and remote part of the Guatemalan jungle near Belize. The rooms are duplex styled in cabins with sparse but very clean and stylish appointments. The toiletries were a nice addition, along with mosquito nets (our premium rooms did not have A/C but this was known to us). There is a large pool with a big area for sitting and sunbathing. We didn’t use the pool. We did take advantage of the 4am sunrise hike and tour to the Mayan ruins/temples with our excellent guide Tony. He spoke English and Spanish for our mixed group. He was excellent and we appreciated his knowledge and humor. Okay now this why we rate this place only 3 stars. First, the WiFi is atrocious and only works in the open-air reception area. Even then, it would routinely connect but not actually provide WiFi and the spotty coverage was incredibly slow - even only to check text messages. The service in the restaurant was abysmal. This was for dinner service and breakfast the next morning. Breakfast was included in the price of the room rate for us, but they tried to charge us for it and even itemized out things like our coffee and our ice! The waiter wasnt responsive to requests for extra bread (dinner) or bacon (breakfast) all of which we told him we’d pay extra for! Had to beg another server to get coffee refilled - and that was itemized out, too! The location is very convenient if you’re coming to tour Tikal’s amazing historic ruins. But we likely will stay elsewhere when we come back to Tikal. …
