This has to be one of the worst places I've stayed in and was by far the worst on this trip in Guatemala. I RARELY write a negative review but this is one. The noise from the street and the incessant barking of dogs kept us awake two nights and I was beside myself at midnight when the noise just...

I take my study abroad students here every March and we stay at the Cacique if there is room. Affordable by US standards but still luxurious with a pool in the center courtyard and even a small ice cream cooler in the lobby area. Very nice for a 3 day stay.

We moved to Cacique Inn from another hotel in Panajachel, which was very dissapointing. Cacique Inn was really amazing. Beautiful comfortable rooms, hot water 24hrs (not a rule in Pana ;) ), tasty breakfasts, good location - 1 minute walk from the piere where you catch lanchas (boats), 3 minutes walk to the main street. Staff was very caring and...

Relatively peaceful setting within the gates. Dining service was good. I particularly appreciated the fact that you could go to the dining area and get a cup of coffee or tea at 6:00 am. Dining area also provided a large dispenser of pure water for their guests to refill water bottles.

Have been going to The Cacique Inn annually for about 20 years. Just got back from our trip and will NO longer stay there. It is very sad. We had a confirmed reservation and when we arrived, the rooms we requested were not available and we were given rooms at the far end of the hotel, overlooking the gas station.....

We really enjoyed our stay at Cacique Inn. The staff were so friendly. We were staying in San Marcos and went to Panajachel for the day. We had to stay a night in Panajachel in order to catch an early bus to Guatemala so we checked the hotel out in advance. We didn't know for sure which night we would...

Positioned between Main Street and lakeside this hotel has huge rooms circling a lovely pool and garden. Though the rooms are a little "lived in" it makes for a very relaxing stay. Restaurant can be slow but provided some lovely food. Staff were very helpful. They also hire bikes but the roads are so bad that it is not a...

We stayed, as part of our round-trip with a group, here for 2 nights. The hotel looks very nice, with a nice yard and pool. The rooms were large, the beds were OK, not great, but good enough. The shower was nice and hot, with good water pressure. The breakfast was good, enough choice. The staff was very friendly and...

Cacique Inn is located close to everything in Panajachel, and a short walk to Lake Atitlan and the boats that will take you around the lake. There's a pool, the hotel is well-maintained and the restaurant food is good.
