Maya Mountain Lodge is tucked away just outside of San Ignacio, Belize. The moment we arrived the staff was incredibly accommodating and made sure we felt comfortable and relaxed. The rooms were exactly as advertised and the beds and towels were done daily! The 5 of us split two rooms in the Parrot House and it was perfect. Best part-...

Set in lovely grounds with trees labelled as if in a botanical garden. Great place to wake up early and spot birds. The accommodation is very rustic and some in need of maintenance – the property is up for sale so we assume the owner doesn’t want to make any further investments. We found it poor value for $89+tax -...

My wife and I started the Maya Mountain Lodge back in 1982 and it has been "home grown" based mostly on earnings from Belize. The entire lodge has been renovated periotically and the most recent additions are actually pretty new. The Maya Mountain Lodge has been, and remains, our "baby" and a lot of love and attention goes into the...

We stayed here for several nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms were large and airy and nicely appointed, with very comfortable beds. Some of the lower cabins were musty smelling and we had to ask to have a new room as the odor was over-powering. the staff accommodated us immediately and our new room was great. The...

We always are appreciative of feedback. The pool deck has already been refurbished 50% since you were here and work will continue now that the weather is more accommodating. Thank you for the suggestions on the trail. They will be addressed immediately. We agree that Julianie is a great new asset to the team. She oversaw an awesome Valentine Dinner...

We stayed for three days and absolutely LOVED the staff and Bart! They arranged our shuttle for our day trip to Tikal(highly recommend!) it was seamless and amazing! The food was to die for and everyone was so sweet! I wish we could have stayed longer! The rainforest was gorgeous! Stay here if you can!

We initially booked Maya Mountain Lodge for our first two nights in San Ignacio, intending to move on, but ended up staying 4 nights, we enjoyed it so much. Our cabana was super clean, quiet and comfy: Great A/C and hot water. The meals, while a bit on the pricey side were delicious, made with all natural, non-GMO ingredients, and...

My only regret is not staying here longer. We were treated at the entrance by Elmer with a refreshing drink. The room was ready and fresh flowers greeted us throughout the room. Was wonderful! The staff was excellent as well as the owner, they all made us feel like we had been friends forever. Elmer was not only helpful from...

We stayed here for 2 nights. I agree with the other people's comments regarding the staff- they were really lovely and helpful. We stayed in a room in the main building. It was clean, but small i.e. not enough space to open 2 suitcases. There were towels provided for the pool and actvities. Shampoo and shower gel were provided in...

We strive to exceed the expectations of everyone but it seems we didn't score 100% as this customer, who we haven't been able to identify, wasn't happy and didn't express their concerns while here. Our free Guatemalan "real" coffee is praised by (almost) everyone. This is the first complaint we have ever had. The bread is all homemade by us...

We spent our honeymoon in the jungle at Maya Mountain Lodge after our small destination wedding on Ambergris Caye, and we felt that the lodge was a gem. The grounds were very beautiful and all the plants were labeled so that you learned what they were, and there was a well maintained trail around the property for hiking and birding....

For the price-point, Maya Mountain Lodge is a great stay with a convenient location just outside the bustling San Ignacio downtown. Each lodge is separated from each other, providing a nice degree of seclusion and privacy. The amenities are a bit rustic and weathered, but keep in mind you're in the jungle. If anything, this added to the charm of...
