We like to have the comforts of home (hot water, ac, and internet, but we also like to feel like we are roughing it a little also. We went the packaged route with meals and tours included. The price was reasonable, the food was excellent, and we had so much fun on the tours. Doing it this way we packed...

I had an amazing two day stay at Maya Mountain Lodge & Wellness Center. Bart and Suzi are the owners and some of the friendliest and nicest people I have met in Belize. The attention, care and love they have put into this jungle lodging paradise shows in many ways throughout the property. The restaurant and staff are super. The...

It was wonderful meeting you and sharing a little about our life at the lodge as well as the two major projects we are working on: Pro-Organic Belize and the Belize Wellness Institute. We hope to make a difference in the world by acting locally. Thanks for the encouragement. We look forward to your next visit. Bart

Maya Mountain Lodge seems to thrive on requests. Transportation and tour location opportunities are skillfully handled. Personal attention is given to dietary requests, with fresh organic produce at every meal. Soups, salads and dessert were my favorites. Try the brownies with ice cream! The cabins are pleasant and very clean. This modestly priced lodging suits a vacation headquarters or a...

To be honest, I felt this place to be lacking. It's not that there was anything *wrong* with anything it just....felt lifeless. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. The rooms were beautiful. The food was good - but easily four times the price of a similar meal in San Ignacio 5 minutes away. The hotel doesn't serve any alcoholic...

Great to see that this guest described the staff as “incredibly friendly and accommodating”, rooms as “beautiful”, food as “good”. The Maya Mountain Lodge focuses on eco and adventure tourism. Most of our guests are up early doing birding (early morning) or leaving on tours (usually before 8 am). After a day of adventuring they are ready for a dip...

Maya Mountain Lodge is tucked away just outside of San Ignacio, Belize. The moment we arrived the staff was incredibly accommodating and made sure we felt comfortable and relaxed. The rooms were exactly as advertised and the beds and towels were done daily! The 5 of us split two rooms in the Parrot House and it was perfect. Best part-...

Set in lovely grounds with trees labelled as if in a botanical garden. Great place to wake up early and spot birds. The accommodation is very rustic and some in need of maintenance – the property is up for sale so we assume the owner doesn’t want to make any further investments. We found it poor value for $89+tax -...

My wife and I started the Maya Mountain Lodge back in 1982 and it has been "home grown" based mostly on earnings from Belize. The entire lodge has been renovated periotically and the most recent additions are actually pretty new. The Maya Mountain Lodge has been, and remains, our "baby" and a lot of love and attention goes into the...

We stayed here for several nights and enjoyed every minute of it. The rooms were large and airy and nicely appointed, with very comfortable beds. Some of the lower cabins were musty smelling and we had to ask to have a new room as the odor was over-powering. the staff accommodated us immediately and our new room was great. The...

We always are appreciative of feedback. The pool deck has already been refurbished 50% since you were here and work will continue now that the weather is more accommodating. Thank you for the suggestions on the trail. They will be addressed immediately. We agree that Julianie is a great new asset to the team. She oversaw an awesome Valentine Dinner...

We stayed for three days and absolutely LOVED the staff and Bart! They arranged our shuttle for our day trip to Tikal(highly recommend!) it was seamless and amazing! The food was to die for and everyone was so sweet! I wish we could have stayed longer! The rainforest was gorgeous! Stay here if you can!

We initially booked Maya Mountain Lodge for our first two nights in San Ignacio, intending to move on, but ended up staying 4 nights, we enjoyed it so much. Our cabana was super clean, quiet and comfy: Great A/C and hot water. The meals, while a bit on the pricey side were delicious, made with all natural, non-GMO ingredients, and...

My only regret is not staying here longer. We were treated at the entrance by Elmer with a refreshing drink. The room was ready and fresh flowers greeted us throughout the room. Was wonderful!
