The main office knew what they were doing but it stopped there. The bar is never manned. The most expensive breakfast wasn't edible. Not sure what day the coffee was made, heated it up in microwave, 2nd cup didn't even bother heating it. I'm sure...More
This is a beautiful place where to stay. The rooms are small cottages surrounded by what is in itself a small botanical garden with different plants, most of which have a sign showing their species.
I was in cottage 14, the room is very spacious...More
This hotel has changed its name to Cassia as of 2018. The location is perfect for excursions, and walking distance to town. There is a small pool where you can relax if you aren't out and about. The rooms are big and simple, and great...More

Hi Jenna,
Sorry for the delayed answer. This hotel is a bit out of town (just at the exit of the town toward the Guatemalan border) and if you do not have a car, you will have to use the local taxis for a 5 min drive (from downtown), as I am not sure that the bus continues there. The hotel has a shuttle from Belize city, but you will have to check with them how much it costs.

There were no bugs at Windy Hill, because there was enough breeze to keep them away. All of the windows have bugproof screens and lightproof shutters. I consider myself a bug magnet, so I always travel with 100% DEET and am prepared to apply it to my collars, cuffs, hat and bandanna whenever I go out to hike among the Mayan sites.
