Nice view of the mountains. Nice pool, downsize - open to public so not always a quiet relaxing time. Room on the small size. Weird layout, to get a hot shower need to turn off a.c. because the shower door opens right under where the...More

Hello! We live in Guatemala and drove to Belize so we booked everything directly with the hotels I researched... There should not be any problems for you to book a rental car at the airport and then contact the hotels directly. Nothing is more than a couple of hours away. That way you can leave the car before you head to San Pedro or to Caye Caulker (San Pedro is more resort/adult and Caulker more chill/young crowd, I'd say...). We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere in Hopkins and the excursions in San Ignacio a lot but the snorkeling from San Pedro was also great.
