We checked in after a very long drive from Belize city, only to be greeted by a very unfriendly and inhospitable couple. We had a reservation and an email from them to confirm it. They just looked at us like we had three heads, then some sidekick (a guest I assume) decided to chime and and tell us how to...

We stayed here because Bella's was temporarily closed and our previous experience with Acropolis Maya was our worst hostel experience in the dozens of hostels we've stayed at in Central America (filthy rooms, poor security, terrible and absent service). I shared a room with 3 other girls (2 full-ish sized beds). The room had a private bathroom, a fan, wi-fi...

We have had a difficult time in finding a reasonable place to stay in our trip in San Ignacio. When looking for a place to sleep we have found many hotels with, in our opinion, unjustified prices. Eventually we have settled for Hi-et Guesthouse and we have been with our choice. The Hotel is very close, within 2 minutes walking,...

Great location and everything you need for cheep. A friend and I went and got a room for $24 a night, so we each paid $12. They have wifi, hot water, and are located right next to places to eat. I highly recommend this place to stay.

If you don't need anything fancy, Hi-Et is super cheap and the rooms are clean. Nothing special, but if you want a clean bed and a hot shower then this will get the job done. We paid $20 a night and that allowed us to financially recover a little bit from staying in more expensive hotels.

This place is nothing spectacular. But the rooms are clean, the water is hot, and its super conveniently located. It's run by a guy named Junior and his family. They are nice enough, not overly talkative. The prices are great though. $25BZ for a single bed room with a shared bath. $50BZ for a 2 bed room with private bath....

A one minute walk from the main street in San Ignacio, this guest house is very central to anything going on in San Ignacio. it's run by a family, and you have to walk through a bit of their house to get to your room. The rooms are very simple. We had some miscommunication before arrival, and we thought we...

We've stayed here on every trip to Belize. It's one of the safest feeling places we've stayed in the country since you actually walk through the owner's home to get to your room. It's also a bargain at $25bz a night! We stayed in one of the rooms with a shared bath. Just a bed, a fan, a corner rod...

It appears as though the word is out about the bargain rooms at Hi-Et cause the 25Bz rooms were full the three nights that we stayed. We opted to pay for the private rooms (50Bz) because they seemed like the best option in town (and we looked at a lot of other places). We had the room that is near...

I paid about $25BZ for a single room with a balcony and shared bathroom. For the price, I thought it was a bargain. My only complaint was that I had a floor fan which was rather loud... if you could get a room with a ceiling fan, you'll be happy. I was rather lucky that Hi Et isn't near any...
