I stayed here for 2 nights thanksgiving. I was the first international traveler to arrive since covid. The staff went above and beyond to make my stay extra special. I arrived to my host, Franklin greeting me and showing me around. My room was clean and beautiful. Since i had a long travel stay Chef had lunch and a welcome drink prepared for me. That was the start of an amazing 2 nights - the food! Chef is so talented and his food is top notch cuisine. I ate all my meals and drinks there for the next 3 days. His unique quesadilla will never be forgotten:) Franklin made sure I had everything needed, a flashlight, bicycle, Rum:) bug smokers, etc. We were really the only staff there except for a few others preparing for a wedding the following week. So I def treated with care. I was a femal traveling alone and felt safe the entire time. I paid the money for the private transfer vs. the bus. I'm glad I did, I think walking the dirt road with my bags would been a bit questionable traveling alone. The Property is breathtaking beauty. Pure sounds, walking trails, birds galore, butterflies, sounds monkeys in the distance. I sat on my porch taking in the sounds every night. I walked every inch I could. There is a creek to swim in, and a trail to hike. I biked to the Blue Hole National Park, and we tried a visit to the cacao farm but covid had them closed. Covid measures - clean everywhere, hand washing stations, sanitizer, masks being worn by all and the rooms were being left empty for days between guests for extra measures. Notes - open air screened rooms with fans. And bug spray is a must. Overall this was an incredible time by myself connected to nature. I would absolutely recommend.…
Great people -- beautiful setting. Don't expect a huge bar. Bring bug spray. Septic tank, not city sewer. Great place to take day trips from, or just relax in the beautiful Jungle setting. The day trips in the area are GREAT! Great birding
The grounds were beautiful, the howler monkeys entertaining, the food excellent and the accommodations were lovely, clean and well-stocked. Would highly recommend! I was on a mission trip in town, so didn't really get to see what was around Jaguar Creek. It was fairly remote, extremely peaceful and relaxing.
