We took the beachcombers package and stayed 3 nights. Everything was perfect. The bed was comfortable and the staff exceptionally attentive and thoughtful. The food was fresh and delicious. Ms. Jenny is the best! After lunch I slept in the hammock on the porch with the cool Caribbean breeze blowing. It was so relaxing to be away from the crowds....

We stayed at one of the Reef Houses which was very private with its our own view of the reef. It was a short walk to meals and the boats. We dove 3 times a day; the reefs are very healthy and teeming with sea life. We saw a peacock flounder, nurse sharks, rays, moray eels and sea turtles to...

If there were an option to give six stars, this place would deserve it. Our cabana was simple but comfortable -- bedroom, bath en suite, porch with a hammock, right on the water. Glover's is the healthiest reef I've seen in decades -- and in more than 200 dives. Marisol's dive operation was top-notch. Mora, the divemaster, took us to...

Six stars...wow! We certainly appreciate your enthusiasm for Isla Marisol. Our staff work very hard to ensure a top-notch experience, and it feels great to be recognized for the hard work. Our staff and their dedication is certainly one of the things that sets us apart from the rest. Depending on the season, we do have sandflies (no-see-ums) but those...

This was my second time at Marisol. Not much has changed. Still the same staff and still the same dive guide and boat operators. Mr. Willis who is part owner in the resort leads by example. My friend and I got an amazing deal on Groupon and stayed here for a week in June. It was amazing! We got PADI dive certified while we were there and it was really high quality, personalized instruction. The dives were spectacular and diverse. We saw sharks (friendly nurse sharks), turtles, and more. The dive masters were attentive and the...

We visited Isla Marisol for a week in April 2016. It was a perfect week! If you want to get away from it all on a tropical island, this is just the place! Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Isla Marisol Resort lies on a pristine, secluded palm-studded island on Glover's Reef Atoll (a UN World Heritage site) in Belize. Of the five inhabited island on Glover's Reef, Isla Marisol is the only one offering private en-suite bathrooms, fresh water showers, hot and cold water, air conditioning, and daily housekeeping service. Isla Marisol Resort also offers frosty cold libations at our infamous "over the water" bar and phenomenal Belizean style food in our dining room. Incredible watersports are just a stone's throw from the resort, with most diving and snorkeling sites just 5-15 minutes from the island. All ages and experience welcome! Anglers can hit the "grand-slam" from their front porch, with World class fly fishing for tarpon, permit, and bonefish, quite literally at our door step. Daily deep sea fishing trips for Wahoo, Kingfish, Marlin, and a host of other fun fish, depart from Isla Marisol daily. ... more   less
