Colinda Cabanas is located on a sandy quiet beachfront property on the island of Caye Caulker in Belize. Facing the reef on the preferred East side, we are blessed with an almost constant Cool North-Easterly breeze. Most nights star-gazing is amazing while listening to the surf breaking on the reef. Naturalists and children alike will enjoy the abundant species of migratory birds, reptiles and marine life. We currently have 14 units available for nightly rentals. Each of our units are slightly different and offer various amenities depending on your needs and your budget. Prices range from $69.00 - $159.00 per night + tax for 2 persons. All units have a fridge, coffee maker, coffee beans and 5 gallon purified water station. Some units have full kitchens and a/c. The bathrooms have a good supply of hot reverse osmosis purified water. Free WiFi in room. We also supply bicycles and kayaks. A 175' long pier with chairs, palapa and hammocks and safe swimming area completes the picture !

the sunrises are amazing!!! From our deck looking east
Hi Colin and Linda.... we are 8666 kms away from you in sunny -15 Prince George, BC right now! Haha... we are coming in late August early September to escape the dreaded forest fires and huge mosquitoes and to celebrate our wedding anniversary! It is going to be such a long trek as we have to do the 9 hour drive to YVR to catch our flight through the smokey BC mountains (we are sure you know all about it!) Therefore, we expect to be exhausted by the time our various flights arrive in Belize 30 hours later. Are the water taxis reliable and punctual? We would like to visit you last after exploring mainland Belize but we are worried about our flight home being in the late morning and taxis being on stoner's time! Any advice greatly appreciated! We look forward to meeting fellow Canucks! :D
Hi there, we used both companies coming in and out of Belize and both were reliable and on time. As soon as you get off the boat in Belize there are golf carts (taxis) ready to take you to your accommodation. If you were travelling light and wanted to walk, you simply stay on the beachfront and take a left, continue all the way along and you’ll find Colinda’s (the yellow & blue cabanas give it away!). We stayed August 18 and had an amazing time (3 nights turned into 8). Enjoy :)

Hi, am I speaking with Colin or Linda? We live in North Vancouver. I am trying to get our flights organized first and then I will book accommodation. As you are from BC as well I thought you would give us some insight as the best area to rent while in Caye Caulker. Dates will probably be December 28-January 1 (or 2nd). We fly out on the 2nd so will have to decide if we can get back in time or if we should stay in Belize City for the night. Do you have availability at your home? Any tips would be appreciated! Wendy
Hi Wendy. I am having difficulty replying to your question, as we are in the Sahara right now with a faulty iPad and intermittent wifi. I will respond properly after October 15 when we return to Canada Colin
