As a disclaimer, we went there a few weeks after hurricane Earl so I realize some of the problems were related to that. However, I want to iterate a few problems that were unrelated to hurricane damage. - The manager Carla tried to scam us out of $50 after we lost our bridge pass. She could have gotten us a... More

The resort could be great, but due to the management company and HOA who have no interest in bringing this place back up to what it could be I would avoid it like the plague. The septic system smell bad all of the time, the outside is deplorable is the best word I can find for it. The management company... More

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS RESORT. The whole island knows it is a RIP OFF. The manager Carla is a JOKE! She is full of lies and over charges when tours are booked thru her! No pool, no bar, NO WIFI, no restaurant! We weren't even given toilet paper or towels when we checked in! WE HAD A... More

This place was gorgeous when it was being built. Since then there has been a series of financial and legal issues that have caused this place to really collapse. Most of the main units in the larger buildings are in poor shape: electronics don't work, blinds that don't close, bathrooms with low water pressure or dirty or both. If you... More

Reef Village has undergone some extremely difficult times but Carla the new manager is doing an outstanding job getting it back to prime. A place for people to relax and recharge. We will return every year. Those who said it is a nightmare went when they were experiencing difficulties. Now our villa was a wonderful fully stocked kitchen with everything... More

WARNING! Think everyone should know.... We have a villa rented in Barrier Reef village ( Reef villiage Resort) north of the bridge in San Pedro on Ambergris Caye. This is a timeshare facility that is currently in Itigation so it is not being maintained as it should be. The pool had no water, the restaurant is closed and the sweet bartender has limited variety of supplies. The kitchens had limited dishes and silverware, but were attractive and had adequate appliances. Master bedroom was alright but second room minimal... More

Stay away from this dump. It's managed by ruthless pirates at the behest of the HOA. I rented direct from an owner. Allegedly he did not pay his electrical or water bill so without notice to me, management turned both off. Constructive eviction. There is an unnatural high rate of owners in default on their dues and utilities, resulting in... More
