Had breakfast here twice. It was a short walk on the beach from White Sands Cove resort and it was worth it. Very simple breakfast on the bar with a view of the pier and ocean. When I first walked up I was not sure but it turned out to be our favorite breakfast spot. Quick, good service, and great... More

One of my favorite spots on the island! Went for breakfast the first morning of our honeymoon and had to keep going back! Their Belizean breakfast was incredible. They had my favorite beans and you must ask for honey with the fry jacks! Plus the view is unbelievable!

We had multiple breakfasts and dinners at Ak'bol (Heart of the Village" and each one was better than the last. Alfred the bartender provided excellent recommendations regarding what to see and do on Ambergris Caye and Kirsten the owner and Yoga instruction (and Linda her mother) were as friendly and helpful as could be. If you go (and you should)... More

Ak Bol was fantastic. My boyfriend and I were staying in one of the ocean view cabanas which was right on the beach and absolutely stunning. The owner was so nice and helpful. He spent all day calling around to people he knew to get us a snorkeling tour when the one we had signed up for cancelled and then... More

Ak'bol is a laid back and small resort focused on Yoga. The hostess, Kirsten, offers Yoga sessions each morning at 9. We met our daughter-in-law there for breakfast after one of the morning sessions and enjoyed a great meal. One of us had a spinach omelet, another the cocoanut crusted French toast while I enjoyed the breakfast burrito. All were... More

We visited akbol for dinner and had to return the next day for breakfast and smoothies! The food was super fresh and delicious. For dinner we ordered the locals favorite which is pupusas and other small empanadas-like dishes all stuffed with fresh fish. Super tasty! The smoothies are pure fruit, thick and rich!!!

I booked a seafront cabana during "low"/rainy season. I loved my room and view (though there's no AC, so if you tend to run hot then be aware of this. I was fine with it, though.). At this time it was very quiet and peaceful, which is exactly what I was hoping for. The yoga classes Kirsten offered were challenging... More

We loved the food so much we went over and over. My friends also did some yoga classes. The atmosphere was gorgeous, right on the water, but the food is what made this place so stellar. I especially loved the guacamole!

We didn't stay there, but we did eat dinner with them. It's quaint with beach-side seating and a really nice pier with a great view. The food was the best we found on San Pedro and priced quite a bit lower than fancier places nearby. I highly recommend Ak'bol for dinner.

We ate here twice during our week stay, it was one of the few places nearby open early for breakfast. Chocolate pancakes with bananas were delicious. Fish tacos here are simple and amazing!! Fry ha KD are also a must try. Burger was not what you are use to in the states. Free wifi!
