Absolutely the best service and experience on the island. I cannot say enough about the people. The cabanas are beautiful and super clean. The best experience is the pool and bar where you will get phenomenal service from Nelson, James, and the entire staff. I would highly recommend. My 3rd trip to the island and by far the best. Book early. They only have 5 cabanas. Well worth. Great value. Perfect location close to everywhere.
Loved staying here! PUR is in a great location - close to the action but not in the middle of it. The staff was so friendly and accommodating. They are what truly made the stay special. Jenny was particularly great! The food and drinks at PUR were also excellent! The onsite golf cart rentals were so convenient and the hotel offered free bike rentals (although we didn't use the bikes).
We absolutely loved our weeklong stay at PUR. The staff goes above and beyond to make sure your stay is absolutely perfect. The hotel is on the north end of the island - close to truck stop, the garage, tres cocos, marbucks, rumdog, Crocs and a few other places. I really liked being north out of the chaos of downtown. Parking is abundant for the golf carts, too. The rooms are very nice and the pool super relaxing. Its never too crowded to get a chair. We had zero issues with the room or the hotel during our stay. Love that they have a little mini fridge, robes, a safe, and a good size walk in closet! We had some drama with the airlines getting home due to weather in the states and PUR (Jenny) was flexible in helping us get back to the airport to catch a tight flight. Sending compliments to Jenny, James, Nelson, Javier just to name a few. Your service and care for your customers is absolutely perfection. Hope to see you guys again soon!…
My wife and I really enjoyed the ambiance of this quaint hotel. Our room was super cool and the swim up pool was awesome. The property looks just like the brochures and the food and service was incredible. Thank you to Nelson, Flor, Xavi, and all the rest of the staff!!! We hope to come back.
This little gem - with about 6 cabanas - is the hidden treasure of Ambrigris Caye. While the location is off the beach and not much to see, it's centrally located - an easy bike ride into San Pedro, or to Truck Stop, or to their sister hotel Bella Vista and its wonderful Aji restaurant. No need for renting a golf cart if you are comfortable on a bicycle. The food at both PUR and Aji is fantastic. The former specializes in custom ordered tacos, ceviche and fresh Mexican fare; the latter has some pub-type food but the red snapper or shrimp tacos are so fresh and tasty. YUM! Aji also has a dinner menu that we didn't get to sample but heard it was really good. Both offer good breakfasts, too. Both restaurants offered to cook the fresh fish and lobsters that guests catch. We took advantage of that excellent option and had an incredible, fresh and plentiful meal. Beverages: I watched Lucy cut and press juice from about 80 limes for the fresh margaritas earlier that evening. Everything is fresh - no corners cut. But by far the stars of the show at PUR are the staff. They are dedicated to you enjoying your vacation - and so genuine - you really get to know each other. Nelson, Lucy, James, Javier, and Flora took GREAT care of us. Miss V and Jenny in the office tended quickly to little needs like a safe that needed resetting, getting us to/from the water taxi and any other needs we had. A great perk of staying at PUR is that you also have access to their sister location, Bella Vista, which offers a quieter setting, with a nice pool and free access to kayaks and SUPs. Here, too, the staff including Pablo, Enrique and Susan made sure we were always comfortable and happy. Minerva out on the pier was quick to offer to help us with kayaking and watching our gear while we took side trips. We always felt 100% cared for. The staff's happiness with their jobs shone through and made our experience all the better. We also saw this extra care and exceptional customer service from the staff at both places extend to every guest, not just us but also every customer who wasn't staying there but came by to enjoy the atmosphere, staff, food and drink. My one suggestion: Really fix up the bikes. Maybe buy better bikes. Brand them with a color and logo to stand out (might as well put them to work to market PUR), and add lights and helmets. We repeatedly heard how there are too many golf carts on the island. So this is the opportunity to be a leader - AND use the bikes for marketing/visibility. We had no problem riding to Secret Beach - a 35 minute ride from PUR. In fact I think we had a better ride than the carts that had to dodge the potholes. Embrace biking because of the central location, the healthier alternative that aligns with the wholesomeness of PUR, and stand out from the competition by always having them in good shape and ready. All in all, we'd go definitely go back to PUR if/when we go again.…
All the staff was super friendly! Nelson, Lucy, Javier,Flor, James went out of their way to make the stay special! The food & drinks were phenomenal! You have to try the key lime pie! It's an adult only resort...
The employees were the best part of our experience.James, Javier,Nelson, Lucy,Flor,Vi,the kitchen staff, housekeeping and the office staff. what was going to be a one-time vacation has turned into a yearly event
This is a boutique lodging open to public for food and drinks. A charming location, quaint, and very good food. We only ate breakfast while we visited, but we did this twice and will likely be back for the French toast before we travel home! Great service.
We stayed at Pur for 4 nights. Really liked the place. The staff was very nice and helpful. They also picked us up from the airport and brought us to the resort. It is small (6 rooms I think) so it is quiet. Also the location is great. Close to the city if you want to go, but away enough that it isn’t crazy busy. I’d stay here again in a heart beat.
My husband and I were planning our trip to Belize and being unfamiliar with the area we chose to stay at a resort rather than an Airbnb. For just a little more money we had on-site pool access and the convenience of a restaurant. This couldn’t have been a better place to stay. The food was consistently good, the rooms were lovely and comfortable, the staff was phenomenal. The staff learns your names right away and you’re treated like family. Lucy, Nelson, James, Javier, Pablo, Flor Zamir, V, Manny and countless others made our stay very memorable. Every recommendation they made was perfect, they went out of their way to make everything convenient and enjoyable. If we could give more than 5 stars we would especially to the wonderful staff.
