We Skied half a day on our last day in Keystone Colorado, then drove to Denver to drop off our ski rentals and stayed at this hotel before driving home. The front desk was courteous, lobby was clean and pleasant. All safety measures were in place for corona. Our room was spacious and neat. There were only 2 large towels for showering, we asked for extra towels. They were short staffed so we never got them by the time we were done. Kids used the small towels. The toilet flush is loud reminding me on an airplane flush. Overall, a good place to stay particularly if you are flying out of Denver.
This was one of the few hotels I stayed at during the COVID-19 pandemic. I have one of the highest tiers of status (Titanium) with Marriott's loyalty and was traveling with a friend, and was left embarrassed. I knew there would be limitations due to the pandemic but did not realize the stay would be so strange. First not all the rooms have a fridge as stated. We got in late and stopped by grocery store to get food supplies for next day and to our surprise no fridge. I know they could have requested to have one brought one up, but it was late and not worth the hassle so used ice machine to get by. Check-in was not the typical Marriott welcome and as many mention it was my experience that there was rarely someone at the front desk. Other than was given free parking so that was one plus. The COVID protocols were not explained. Breakfast for my Marriott status was a yogurt, bar and banana and water or OJ. Coffee was like $4. Trash built up in the hallways in front of room and by elevator. Noise was a problem one evening as well. It was not uncommon to see people unmasked in the lobby. Given the other hotel options in the area, based on my experience I'd recommend staying elsewhere. I stayed at Ramada Inn and had a better experience during the pandemic than I did here.…
Staff very courteous and friendly. Hotel quiet due to Covid and sub zero temperatures. Front desk staff great. We ate at Fire and Spice for dinner Our server was excellent. Rooms were fine. Clean. Recommend staying here.
First the good: the bed was really comfortable and the room was clean. That is why the hotel got a two. Second, something just kind of weird was that the bath towels were hidden. For a moment, I thought I was going to make my kids use hand towels when they got out of the shower but we found two towels behind the extra rolls of toilet paper. Third, the airport shuttle only goes around once per hour. We waited in the cold for over a half hour. Finally, the hotel check-in people were simply mailing it in. Every time I walked into the hotel, the check-in desk was not staffed. In addition, the check-in person had a difficult time finding our reservation despite my spelling my name several times. I needed to put down my bag and pull out my cell phone to provide a confirmation number. Lastly, the check-in person gave us inaccurate times for the airport shuttle and inaccurate information concerning breakfast.…
I've stayed at this hotel many times and hosted company meetings here as well. This is the first time I've stayed here in the "Covid Era". I know they have to do things differently, but from my experience they have used it as an excuse to provide poor service instead of rising to the occasion and determining how to porivide the best experience in light of the situation. Examples Include: *One airport shuttle run per hour. I wasn't going to wait 55 minutes. Took an uber instead. *Elite Member Benefits are non-existent. The lounge is closed, which is normal. But no water at check-in. Breakfast is a bag with a granola bar, small yogurt and a 8 oz bottle of water. *The only hot breakfast available is at the Starbucks counter; only available to-go. I ordered a $7.50 breakfast burrito. Which I found was a pre-made item warmed up. Exactly the same as you'd find in the cooler at 7-11. I fully understand that things will be different, however these guys are just "mailing it in". If the experience is no different than lower tier hotels, why stay at at The Marriot?…
