Allison (the manager), and the housekeeping staff, (Tati and Esther), are wonderful!! My puppy was having separation anxiety when we went out and they let him stay at the front desk and they even took him for a walk. My dog was anxious the whole time-- and they were incredibly kind and gentle with him. I'll never forget their kindness. This is THE perfect hotel for people who love their pups.
This is a lovely lodge about 5 blocks from the “where it is happening” downtown area. The hotel is charming, unique, clean and with friendly, helpful staff. It is also close to public transportation. Breakfast is free and has a nice variety of food. There is a nice common area around a beautiful, two sided, rock fireplace. This hotel is also dog friendly. There is not an elevator so if stairs are an issue ask for a room on the first or second floor. Also, the staff is more than happy to help you with your luggage.
Creepy guy at front desk walked in my room without knocking at 7pm!!! And had no excuse why he was entering room!!! Very unprofessional and makes one think what he was up too. Plus little to no parking with very dated rooms with stains on carpet and love seat..Would not recommend this place go stay somewhere where you can feel safe without staff walking in on you...
The room was adequate and clean, staff professional, centrally located to town. Good value for the money especially in Aspen. Housekeeping was provided, amazingly. . It had a continental breakfast that was varied with an ok selection. My only complaint was with the breakfast service. You couldn’t get a cup of coffee until 0730. Coffee should be available first thing in the morning. The breakfast clerk was there at 7 yet didn’t make the coffee till 0725.
1/5 This lodge jumped to conclusions and wrote me a nasty email via booking.com before hearing my account. I wouldn't recommend staying here if you have physical limitations or show up with a same sex companion! When we walked up to the desk for check we were greeted with indifference. Your employee treated us like we were second class citizens. I can only assume she thought we were gay! That in itself is disturbing. Is this how she treats gay couples that visit your establishment? She had no respect for us. Before going for our bags I asked if they had another entrance that did not have stairs? Your employee stated "Yes but you can't use those"! So we went out to get our bags. We attempted to get in the door that has no stop on it to keep it open. The door sprung back and hit my companion in the face. At that time she did yell a cuss word in response. Finally getting through the door and up the steps to the front desk we asked about an elevator to our floor? Your employee yelled at us stating they didn't have an elevator and if we didn't like it we could go somewhere else. She informed us that we would not find a place that would take "US"! My companion got really upset. I asked her to just go up the stairs and I would address this employee attitude in a review. That is when your employee yelled out to us that if we didn't shut our mouths she would call the cops! At this point I figured it would just be easier to ignore your employee and go to our room because it was too late to find another place to stay! We had an uneventful evening after that. We could hear your employee yelling at other people checking in. We checked out in the morning with a different employee without incident. Later that day I get an email from your company telling me I'm not welcome in your place?! Well I can tell you I have never been treated so horribly by anyone in a lodge or hotel that I've stayed in! Your employee thought we were gay and treated us like inferior individuals! This is totally unacceptable! I will make sure others know they will be treated this way if they stay at your place! I did notice the camera at the desk and I'm sure if you review it you will see how nasty your employee truly was!…
