Myself and 2 friends stayed 3 nights in the fabulous Ralph Lauren Suite. We absolutely loved this hotel, as well as the owner, Terry Butler, and the rest of the staff. Our 2 Bedroom/2 Bath suite with full kitchen and living room area was filled with beautiful antiques, Ralph Lauren linens, and soft leather furnishings. Hot tub , Fireplace ,...

Truly unique - each room has it's own flavor and setting. Incredible location - as everything is a 5 minute walk. Terry, the host, is very warm and helps you get settled and give any advice you may need Highly recommend The Residence Hotel.

If you're tired of the cookie-cutter chain hotels, this is the place for you. This gorgeous little hotel in a historical 120+ year old building was home for us while on a recent visit to Aspen and I cannot praise it enough. Every suite (yes, each room is a complete suite, most of which include well-appointed kitchens) has its own...

My experience was great. I stayed in the two bedroom apartment called the English Victorian. It's so beautiful with a lovely kitchen which made it really easy to cook for an extended stay. I also loved the location two blocks from the supermarket, theater, and ski lifts; around the corner from the outdoor terraces, all make this a perfect location...

Excellent location right in the heart of Aspen, rooms are spacious and beautiful with antiques from all over the world truly one of a kind. My favourite room in the hotel was the explorers retreat room with its large comfortable bed with silk down covers and Ralph Lauren sheets. A stunning room that makes you feel like royalty. Absolutely love...

I'm so thankful to have booked at this hotel. Main reason the beautiful rooms are just spectacular. I'll post some of the pictures I took. When I arrived I had broken my leg and I was thrilled that they had wheel chair access, it made it so easy to get up and down. Terry Butler the owner of this establishment...

This is by far the best kept secret in Aspen! The most incredible boutique hotel right in the heat of downtown. The rooms are VERY large, all with their own kitchen, perfect for those who want to cook/eat breakfast in (rooms have coffee makers, too). I have stayed in The Residence twice now in two different rooms, one more of...

The hotel I was originally booked increased my price when I was checking in, and was even rude : (. Therefore, not a pleasant experience, so needless to say, I was desperate for lodging at the very last minute. Someone told me about Terry Butler, at The Residence Hotel, and called her immediately. She gave me her very last suite...

This is the place for those looking for a unique experience in the heart of downtown Aspen. Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Just a few steps from the base of Ajax mountain in Aspen, one of America's finest ski resorts; and conveniently positioned to overlook the town's storied village, The Residence Hotel serves as a warm sanctuary for guests with distinguished tastes. Here, your stay is as much about comfort and relaxation, as it a global adventure through history. This small and charming Boutique Hotel contains seven suites and apartments, each one individually decorated in European flavor. The high ceilings offer the spaciousness rarely found in a ski resort. The bedrooms are furnished with Ralph Lauren linens and down-filled duvets. Original antique furnishings and accent pieces adorn each room, while walls are covered with museum quality artwork and designer fabrics. Most suites have wood-burning fireplaces. Crystal chandeliers, Persian rugs, marble bathrooms, hard wood floors and large overstuffed sofas and chairs give each room the comforts of a luxurious home. With two decades of loyal and distinguished guests that span from entertainers and athletes to artists and politicians, somehow the hotel still maintains a subtle mystique as the city's hidden gem. ... more   less
