To begin with the person I talked to on the phone told me there was a pool. There wasn't! First Lie. As we were walked to our room, after signing the no smoking policy, we were told there was to be no smoking. Second Lie. But, on passing the rooms, we could smell smoke. Our room was on the ally...

It's not the Ritz. But who cares? It's close to everything important and reasonably priced. An generally, everything was clean and interesting. Staff were helpful and attentive.

We enjoyed everything about our stay at Glenmore. More of a bed and breakfast atmosphere. (which we prefer). Staff is very friendly. Its in the center of town, which makes it easly accessible to everything by foot. The city should consider starting to work a little later than 6am!

My husband and I stayed at the Glenmore Plaza Hotel from June 3 - June 5, 2011. The hotel itself is very old. We were told is was built in 1891 and is the 2nd oldest hotel in California, with Del Coronado in the San Diego area being the oldest. In fact, we were told that the same builder who...

My former fiancée (she's now my wife) and I live in San Diego, CA. We chose to go to Catalina Island for our honeymoon. When searching for hotels via the internet, we found dozens of potential places to stay. In further researching our options (price compared to amenities compared to location compared to customer reviews) we chose the Glenmore Plaza...

As much as I liked the staff at this property where I stayed for two nights prior due at an appearence at The Avalon Ball sponsored by The Art Deco Society of Los Angeles I was disappointed in all aspects of the accomodations. I paid around 400 a night for a large room with a terrace which did give you...

We enjoyed the ambiance at the Glenmore Plaza. The staff were beyond helpful. We felt so at home here. The room was lovely, nothing lacking. We wanted a get-away, but good restaurants nearby, and this fit the bill. We hope to return soon for the friendly, easy way of life at the Glenmore. Marilyn and Ron Mealhow Blue Jay, CA

I phoned the Glenmore Plaza this Morning to see if I could have a bottle of wine delivered to my Mom and Ron for their Anniversary. They arrive today so, this was rather last minute. Jacklyn not only set up the wine delivery, but also suggested flowers. She called me back promptly with the price information (quite reasonable too) and...

We stayed here for two nights and found the rooms very clean and very quiet. The hotel staff was very friendly and willing to go above and beyond to make our stay more enjoyable. The location is just off of Front street in the center of where all the restuarants and shopping are located.

I love the heritage hotel feel to this landmark building located a block from the beach, great restaurants, and a grocery store. I loved the colorful rooms, the old-style lobby with comfortable chairs and couch; a continental breakfast served in the morning. If you're used to well-appointed luxury hotels, this isn't it. This is a clean hotel with character, charm,...
