This hotel is perfect for a stay in Avalon. The island and this hotel represent the charm of Avalon is such a unique way. There is an excellent view and I liked being away from the noise of downtown. The walk was always refreshing and enjoyable and we felt like a local staying in this personable and quaint property. When...

I booked my stay last minute so I didn't expect much, but I paid 200 dollars for a room with no view, a 13 inch tube tv, and what looked like mold in the bathroom. Staff was okay but not really friendly. No breakfast, just coffee. I don't feel I got my money's worth at all, but if you are...

The deck on the 6th floor, available to all customers, is what makes this hotel a great stay. It is simply the best view of Avalon harbor in the city. We had a "residential" room, which doesn't have a view, but it didn't matter because we were on the 6th floor. We got a king bed + futon, for the...

This hotel is not right on the main street of Avalon, however it is within walking distance to all of the major places you will be visiting. You can easily walk to this hotel from the main boat dock in about 10-15 minutes, taking in some of the fantastic views of the town. The staff was friendly, the room was...

This was my first trip to Catalina, and having forgotten that my trip was during spring break, I'd put off booking the hotel. The Hotel St. Lauren was the only hotel available... I read all of the reviews on Tripadvisor and wasn't expecting much. I was pleasantly surprised! The hotel is in a great location. Right next to the grocery...

We had never been to the Island, so we book this via a phone call to hotel. The person set us up with boat tickets, and taxi and was very helpful. The staff was friendly and great. They pointed us in all the right directions for food and entertainment. Very nice stay, great staff, clean hotel, enjoyed our stay. Would...

I booked this hotel based on decent reviews and the best price I could find a month or two before our 3 night stay. I was pleased to find it was the hotel we had visited sightseeing on a previous day trip - to see this historic hotel and enjoy the 6th floor balcony views of Avalon. The 6th floor...

I have stayed here 3 times, I have neither been thrilled nor disappointed with the St. Lauren. I stay here because it's the cheapest hotel I can find. The employees have been mostly polite, and the rooms are decent sized. They aren't quite as well maintained/clean as they could be, otherwise I'd give them a 4/5. The location is right...
