We stayed at the Grand for four nights in a studio villa. The rooms and beds are very comfortable. Our view was to die for overlooking the paradise pier area of California Adventure. The convenience of having your own park entrance to DCA can't be beet. Service is top notch. With every great review there is some down side. Food...

Some hotels just get old and some hotels are like vintage cars that you can appreciate the quality of a by-gone era. The California Grand at Disneyland is definitely starting to show it's age but it has been very well maintained and it's truly a classic. The quality is evident everywhere as is the quality of service. Yes, it's expensive...

What's not to love about this hotel, first of all it's Disney and the service as usual is impeccable. The best thing of all for us though is that you can go from rollercoaster to sunbed in 3 minutes, or even better get soaked on the grizzly falls ride and dry out on the sun beds in the hotel. It...

We booked Disney's Grand Californian at the last minute while in Anaheim for 2 nights. The entrance to this resort is just beautiful! Pine trees all around and lovely flowers everywhere. There is a 'gatekeeper' that you have to check with before you can even enter the parking area, which was nice for any safety concerns regarding your vehicle. They...

Spending several days at a conference here in Anaheim. The GC is a beautiful property staffed by a "cast" of exemplary Disney folk who want to make your stay enjoyable. The rooms are pleasantly decorated and very comfortable. Haven't spent any time in any of the restaurants but the conference meals have been excellent. I am here during the peak...

I have reviewed this hotel before, and basically reiterate that the hotel is worth it if you have infants/seniors/mobility issues. However, this trip, the main pool (Redwood Pool) and waterslides (big one, plus the toddler slide) are closed. The pool is scheduled to reopen May 15, but the pool is dry as of that date. The waterslides are supposed to...

Disney's level of service is second to none. All of the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the property, Downtown Disney, and the theme parks. The public areas are very nice, clean and create a great atmosphere. Unfortunately the rooms are tired and undifferentiated from other hotels that are 50% of the price. Location is convenient, but not worth $350/night...

The Grand Californian does just what Disney wants it to do; transport you from a congested suburb of Orange County to a luxurious rustic lodge of a 1920's National Park. The grand lobby alone makes it worth a visit even if you are not staying in the hotel. Its pricey, crazy pricey but for Disney magic without the hyperkinetic characters...

It's fun staying on the Disneyland Resort property. The Grand Californian has a beautiful lobby and check-in area. The rooms, however, are beginning to show their age...sticky furniture, spots on the carpet, etc. Don't get me wrong. It's nice, just not great...especially for the price you pay. The restaurants are grossly undersized. If you want to eat there, make a...

We're DVC members and have had nothing but great experiences with Disney properties - the Grand Californian was no exception. The quality of accommodation is great and the Disney theming works really well to immerse you in the Disney experience. Extra magic hours are an added bonus - be prepared to queue to get in even at the early entry...
