So, I still stand by my previous review about the value and the distance to the park. You are paying for proximity and the Disney ambiance. Even with the upcoming refurbishment, they are not so much an upgrade as making the rooms able to withstand wear and tear better -- stone countertops instead of wood. So, nothing to sing about....

We stood at the Grand California for a stay-cation with our 15 month daughter. Location is perfect. It connects to California Adventure theme park and Downtown Disney, which also connects to Disneyland via the monorail. The accommodations were just average. The hotel lobby is beautiful. Great ambiance, beautiful fireplace & relaxing pianist playing Disney songs. The rooms were small, clean...

The main advantage of staying here is the proximity to Disneyland, and shopping will be delivered direct. On the plus side staff were very friendly (extending the Disney experience), postcards were sent free of charge and the room was maintained spotlessly. Wifi was not available in the room, but was accessible in the lobby. The pool was undergoing maintenance

Seven days at Disney provided magic, mayhem and more than a few disappointing moments. Magic is being able to gain easy access to California Land, but as always make due you arrive 30 minutes early to join the hotel queue. The hotel had easily accessible facilities, laundry for families, and a well stocked shop serving ready to eat meals (breakfast...

Loved this hotel! The grand foyer is just beautiful and everything is on such a grand scale. The location is perfect and getting into the parks early is such a bonus. It is expensive but highly recommend it if you want to really enhance your disneyland experience.

January is such a great month to travel! This hotel was so nice! We were pampered the whole stay. We have three boys and the space was enough for all of us. The pool was being renovated, but they were offering shuttles to the other Disney hotel nearby if you wanted to go to a pool. The park itself was...

We booked this hotel purely because of proximity to the park. This and the fact that you get Magic morning EVERY day at the parks makes it worth it. I booked a standard view room with one queen bed and bunks for our two children. It is just fine. I would have appreciated a lamp and beside table on both...

We had a three bedroom suite which was outstanding in every respect. Great location close to everything. Loved the foyer. We chose to pay extra to join the club which gave us access to the private room on the 6th floor at any time for food and drink all day. Got our park hopper tickets there which gave us early...

We were super excited for our stay here and were amazed by the gorgeous lobby as we walked into the hotel. As far as service, it was spectacular as always by Disney. While the hotel is pretty, we were slightly disappointed with our room...just basic. Our view was just ok...most of it was the side wall of Goofy's Sky School,...
