We could walk to all the museums and all of the local restaurants. Concierge was extremely helpful. Quick trip from the airport. Did not eat there but there are 2 Starbucks within 5 minutes and the old ebbitt grill was very close for an amazing breakfast. Room was nice but would not classify as luxury. Would definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, beautiful lobby, best bar in Washington, perfect location, great rooms, great staff! Add to it all the history and what else can you say? Have been there a hundred times either to see the great decorations at Christmas, the 4th of July, have a drink in the Round Robin bar or just soak in the atmosphere. Never stayed... More

Two pets of my experience: Banquet & planning went very smoothly and weeks of long distance communication with my two contacts there were excellent. As a result, My post-wedding Brinch was done with elegance and panache...The servers top-drawer, Matre'd excellent and the food outstanding....The room, The Nest, was perfect...Bright, cheerful with understated and cheery fresh bouquets on each table...Wonderful. Excellent hotel. The rooms are large, clean, and elegant. The staff is courteous and provides great service. This hotel has tons of history, which is great when visiting such a historic city. Great location that's close to the White House and the national mall. We got a very reasonable rate. Especially for such an excellent hotel and when compared to... More

With the line to start the White House tour and the Treasury Dept. across from the property, and the Cafe's view of the Washington Monument, you know you're in for an historic treat. What is unexpected is how different the rooms are. Mine had a stocked five-shelf library right next to the beautifully furnished king-sized bed. The on-site restaurants are... More

The hotel staff were all super friendly and accommodating! Our room was on the 11th floor and absolutely gorgeous. My family stayed here using my annual free night from having their credit card and were still treated 1st rate. I wished we had planned on staying longer. This is my second Intercontinental hotel to stay at (the other being in... More

Decided to head to DC for a weekend with the family at the last minute. Booked a room at the Willard at a very reasonable rate. If you have not been to this hotel, it is probably best summed up in one word: GRAND. The lobby is quite impressive and the rooms are very spacious. I also found the staff... More

This is a beautiful hotel with lots of historic charm. We had a junior suite which was very spacious, more than enough room for the kids to run around in. Everything was clean and spacious, and I appreciated the strong water pressure in the shower. For some reason, the maid service was very spotty. We asked for extra towels and... More

This hotel is part of the IHG chain of hotels, and is the highest level you can stay in. We weren't dis-appointed either. The reception staff treat us like royalty, were extremely efficient, and made us feel very important. The room was excellent too, being very big, big tv, big bed, and all the linen was top quality.
