I stayed in late February with two friends from college. We were getting together for the first time in many years and wanted a nice, comfortable place near the subway that would accommodate three women for two nights over a weekend. The River Inn was a terrific choice. We had a one bedroom suite -- a real bedroom with a...

The staff were friendly and helpful both at front desk and restaurant. Room was comfortable but definitely not luxurious and the neighborhood is good. Quiet with good room temperature control. Sleep quality pretty good. Rooms needed some fixing up and bathroom was shabby - see photo. I've stayed in 4 different hotels in this area over the last 3 years,...

The River Inn is a special spot, in a great part of town. I appreciate the quaint feel it has, while still offering the standard of service found at larger top notch hotels. The staff is so welcoming and friendly, and the rooms are spacious and clean. We came with a large group for a funeral service at Arlington. The...

It had been twenty-three years since my wife and I last stayed at the River Inn but when we arrived we were greeted like family and treated like royalty (the doorman actually remembered us!) We had come to celebrate our 48th anniversary. The last time we stayed it was to celebrate our 25th! The entire staff could not do enough...

This is a very comfortable and quiet hotel. Spacious rooms and nice neighbourhood. Very good value too. I've used it a couple of times. It's a mini apartment. I was there during the worst of the weather, but still very pleasant.

From the moment we walked in, the staff was very friendly and willing to address any questions we had, even though it was busy being Valentine's Day. The room was very nice and clean. The bed was very comfortable and the rainfall shower head was great (plus some great smelling lotions/soaps were complimentary to the room). Georgetown and Kennedy Center...

We were very pleased by our experience at the River Inn. The snow storms greatly impacted our planned arrival and departure times and the folks River Inn were generous and accommodating. They were especially polite and pleasant to work with all the way. We visited with family in the room which was set up nicely for socializing and the kitchenette...

We have stayed here before and have always been very satisfied. Unlike many hotels in the area it is on a residential street and you aren't awakened by sirens and ambulances coming to the GWU Hospital. We had a junior suite with full kitchen, separate bedroom, separate vanity area two tvs and full length mirror. It was immaculate. We had...

Stayed here with family for a weekend. Room was a bit odd in that it was set up like an apartment. Full kitchen and large bath. The shower water pressure was very weak and towels a bit threadbare. Doorman often on cell phone a failed to open door when I had my hands full several times. Also there was an...

We have stayed at the River Inn twice now and both times have been a success. The service is top notch. Ross at the front desk is very helpful. We booked a king suite and had plenty of room to spread out. We love the neighborhood. Very easy walk to Georgetown and the mall. Lots of restaurants around.
