We stayed here over Thanksgiving and the following weekend. The room was comfortable, and well appointed. They allow dogs here for no additional fee, which is why we stayed here-- we were traveling with out small dog, George. Pros: Decent room, nice linens, comfy bed, nice pillows, well stocked mini bar, $10 mini bar credit for In-Touch (kimpton rewards) customers,...

Dear SLF7. Thank you for your review. I am pleased that overall you enjoyed your visit with your pup but I am sorry for the cons that you experienced. We do offer pet free floors just in case any travelers are wondering and usually, we are thought of as pretty quiet so I do apologize if a noisy guest was...

The hotel was okay - the rooms were clean and I liked the unique style although details such as some torn material on furniture, some big nicks in the paint on the wall, etc. put me off just a little bit. Some people seemed put off by the red and black decor - but take a look at the pictures.....

Dear motrip2013. Thank you for reviewing your recent visit to the Rouge. I am pleased that overall you enjoyed our hotel and the unique amenities and services that we offer in true Kimpton style! I am sorry that your room service experience was so poor. It is unusual that we miss a breakfast order that was placed outside the door...

Playing catch up on reviews...April 2012 - Location was excellent, though if you are downtown D.C., you can say that, generally. Swag decor - HUGE suite room, wonderful bed. Very friendly valet and service overall. This hotel also offers a parking discount if you drive a red vehicle. I will stay again if the price finds its way up my...

A nice Kimpton property, with the expected fun and lively design, attentive service, thoughtful perks. A little different from some other Kimptons - when I arrived there was nobody around to receive my car. And valet parking was expensive (about $50 per day including taxes). The deal I had offered multiple perks including breakfast buffet, which was fine (I enjoyed...

Red is hot. Red is bold. Red is sexy. And as the namesake for the Hotel Rouge, red is the perfect embodiment of all the vibrancy and excitement of this space. From the metal-studded leather entry doors to the tiger-patterned carpeting of the hallways, every inch of the place reeks of flamboyant style and over-the-top fabulousness. A glittering crystal light...

When you stay any major hotel chain - Intercontinental, Hilton, Fairmont, Holiday Inn etc, you know what to expect. Standard issue decor. And service is always good. So you might wonder why I'm saying this about breakfast... Well, as a very long haul traveller, one of the exquisite things about being in a hotel a long way from home is ... Breakfast. Silly me, booked my group of 10 into the rouge on a Kimpton "add breakfast for $1" deal. Even sillier me, didnt think that the...

I spent two nights at Hotel Rouge this past weekend. I was traveling with a friend so we had a two-queen-bedded room. The room was big - lots of space, though the reading chair was uncomfortable, and had no light nearby. The decor is sort of neo-bordello. LOTS of red (hence the name) and lots of bold B&W graphics. Very...
