I had the pleasure of enjoying the afternoon tea and brunch recently and it was amazing. Not a cookie cutter experience. The hotel is very charming and out of the way a true gem for Washington that is conveniently located near the heart of everything DC. Highly recommend it.

The service is nice and professional, the rooms are very clean. The location is quite central but there inner yard and hallways smell like food and the breakfast is very average and expensive. The hotel has a kitsch vibe.

We stayed at The Henley for 2 nights and thoroughly enjoyed every part of our stay. The location was fantastic, only a short walk from the metro and all of the sights in Washington DC such as the Smithsonian/The Mall and the White House. The room was clean, cosy, comfortable and well equipped with everything that we could need during...

Charming hotel, however none of the rooms have air conditioning, and it is extremely noisy, particularly after 4 AM (mostly garbage trucks emptying dumpsters every morning and excessive outside noise). Housekeeping did not replenish wash cloths either, which is always frustrating. Won't go back.

Stayed for a conference and the property is quaint. The room was small, next to the elevator with no view (of a wall) but it was clean and comfortable. The service was excellent and it has a historic feel. The television was very tiny in the room and it felt cramped. Overall, it was okay and would stay again but...

We arrived at this hotel as part of our tour dinner and were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our seats. The dining room was very lovely and sort of regal and once seated the food was brought out reasonably quick. Overall great food. Lovely atmosphere with great service.

Just opposite to conference hall, probably less than 500m walk, Very old and well maintained least more than 150 years. Breakfast is great as the ambience of the old building added some points for the ambience.

We took the opportunity to visit our daughter and tour DC. Excellent location for walking to various sites. Parked the car and never used it again until it was time to leave. Checked their website before we arrived. They did not oversell. The lounge and dinning room were just as described. My wife and I enjoyed both rooms and our...

Official Description (provided by the hotel)
Experience the elegance of a grander era at The Henley Park Hotel in downtown Washington DC. Constructed as the Tudor Hall Apartments in 1918, this historic address served as the home of notable Senators and Congressmen. Showcasing a stately façade of leaded, stained-glass windows and 119 grinning gargoyles - including two depicting the architect and his wife - the lodging struck the ideal tone for its distinguished clientele. Thanks to a staff as attentive to tradition as it is to the ever evolving needs of the modern traveler, the civilized spirit which made The Henley Park Hotel one of Washington’s most cherished homes is very much intact. ... more   less
