          Loved the location, the room, our overall experience and breakfast of Akwaaba. Great place to stay, close to lots of good restaurants, but still quiet. Joanna really makes the place with her personality, tips on the city, hospitality and cooking. Can't imagine staying anywhere else...More

          I spent the 4th of July weekend at Akwaaba DC and had the time of my life. The location is perfect with short walks to restaurants, shops, CVS and the metro. Joanna gets the award for Inn Keeper of the year! She left no stone...More

          Great place to stay close to everything you would need when in Washington DC. We had a fantastic host (Joanna) who compliments Akwaaba's style and ambience. The breakfast were absolutely delish. Loved everything about this restored old home

          Thanks for your question. Our DC location does not have a gym or pool. Vida Fitness, a full gym, though no pool is .3 miles, just a few blocks from the house. Steve

          The Dupont Circle station, Red line is a 4 block walk. The Cardozo/U Street station, Green/Yellow lines, is about a 6 block walk.
