Stayed for 2 nights for a conference. My room has 2 dbl beds. I’ll start with the good. The room was quiet, even though it was close to the elevator. The bed was comfortable. The room was clean. Check-in and check-out was quick and simple. The valet quickly offered me directions when he saw me looking at Google Maps. Now the “issues”: the TV by the beds did not work (the TV in the sitting area did). It takes about 4 minutes for the hot water to come in the shower and because of the faucet it’s hard to regulate the water temperature (it is a narrow range of movement). Housekeeping knocked on my door at 8 AM — I had not put the “Do Not Disturb” sign up, but 8 AM? There were 3 electrical outlets along a wall that had no tables, shelves, etc. nearby. Yet, where the desk area was, there were no outlets (they were on the opposite wall). The staff members I interacted with during check-in and check-out were efficient, but impersonal. Neither made eye contact with me (instead looking at their computer screen & tasks). Neither smiled. The exchanges were cold. Again, this happened with 2 staff members. When I sat on the sofa, I sank down to an uncomfortable position. I probably would not stay there again.
Thank jenknits

We had points with Ascend so we looked at what they had in DC and chose this hotel. It turned out to be a great choice. The staff was very friendly and helpful. We had a corner suite which was well laid out and allowed my partner to take a nap while i could watch a movie in the other room. The bathroom was nice as well and i loved the shower stall. We got a buy one get one glass of wine and a free souvenir coaster - which was nice. There is a gym on the top floor which was well equipped and, had the weather been warmer, had outdoor tables with a decent view. My only complaint is that the lighting in the bathroom is terrible for putting on makeup. Plan to stay here again when we return to DC in December.
Thank SHWall

Let me explain - we just flew in and came straight to the hotel and we were treated amazingly. Rendell, that greeted us and checked us in covered us from every angle (we had a lot of questions). He even gave us a perfect run down of the area - with an amazing dinner recommendation. However the fun did not stop there - we came back and decided to stop by the bar in the lobby...

The bar; best environment because of the people behind the bar. Seriously, Quinne and Andrés made us the best drinks and had such a lovable approach to keeping us feeling welcomed. Between the conversations and the jokes we had so much fun that the minutes turned into hours without even noticing.

Then when I thought it could not be better, we met Maurice in the kitchen and that man can make some wings! The food that he maked us was so amazing, if you give it a try you may be like me that decided to have a 2nd dinner (and I honestly would go for round 3 if I physically could)

I honestly do not think I can give enough credit to these guys.

Quinne, Andrés, Maurice, and Rendell; you are the unsung hero’s of this hotel in my opinion. I hope management treats you well because you deserve the best, hopefully they put you on the billboard.

My family of 6 stayed here in July, we were very upset when got here after driving 4 hours with 3 kids and finding out they did not have our reservation. After another hour and an half of back and forth, we were able to obtain a room and was able to enjoy the rest of our time. We stayed for 4 days. The kids loved the pool onsite, the view from the roof top was amazing. The main thing we liked was that it was easy to get to our sight seeing destinations by uber, also it was easy to walk to get food. Parking was a little on the pricey side which was why we just took an uber around.

No hot tub, and I definitely felt the pool was cold (but I'm sure it was heated to a point). But, that didn't stop the kids enjoying it.
