Balancing out the positive, not-so positives and negatives, I can definitely recommend this lovely B&B. I will stay here again on my next visit to DC -- assuming the new owners keep what's great and improve on what isn't. Positives: My room was nicely furnished and VERY quiet. The shared bathroom was very thoughtfully furnished with almost everything anyone would...

We stayed four nights at the William Lewis House and enjoyed our stay. We chose the economy room (based on finances, it's not a cheap city) and though it was small, we'd seen the photo and description on their website so were prepared for this. The two buildings that make up the guest house are joined by decking to the...

My wife and I stayed here for one night during our October 2016 road trip LA-NYC. This is a Victorian town house, offering B&B in a family home. Rooms are comfortable, but not en-suite. It offers off-road, secure car parking spaces (subject to availability - 3 only) for an additional $25+tax. We felt like we were at a friend's home....

At slightly less than $200 a night in a city where every other hotel was going for $400 or more the value on this place can't be beat. Though the cutoff time for bed was 10pm and I couldn't make it to the B&B in time, the owner was very helpful in leaving the key for me outside in the...

Made a booking for February 2016 with Hotels.com. Booking was cancelled prior to arrival by the owners, stating that they cannot honor my reservation because they are "closing for good at the end of November" 2015, which obviously was a downright lie. I had to look on short notice for an alternative, much more expensive accommodation. Fraudulent practice, stay away.

I am so sorry you had this experience. About a year ago, a developer made us an offer to purchase our entire property that we simply could not refuse. We were supposed to settle by the end of December and were to have been completely moved out by the first of February. We blocked off all of our availability but...

Accommodating: I came for a educational research conference and as it works out when you are flying from Hawaii, I always arrive at an odd time and way before check in. Terry, the owner's sister, was there to show me where to put my bags and offered me a comfy place to hang out and even a shower if I...

No heat. Bad food. Moldy jams. Not very friendly. Very thin walls. You could hear the bedroom olympics going all night long! Not the charm we were hoping for in a bed and breakfast. Shared a bathroom with someone, the caretaker I think, who was vomiting in the night.

Thank you for taking the time to respond. I am sorry you did not have a good stay but why wouldn't you let us know while you were with us? It is difficult to remedy anything after you have left. The owner can be reached 24/7 and would have been happy to deal with anyone disturbing your stay. We work...

Cozy romantic. Lots of sphere. It is a double house with in the middle a garden. Walking distance from the White House and metro nearby. So perfect for starting to expo the city. Houses are 130 years old and you can hear the squeaky floors. Also the beds are fine but lots of noises. One hand romantic but other hand...

From the jelly belly beans at the front door to the aleve on the mantle, from the wine at happy hour to the 24/7 snacks, from the water cooler and tea bags to the air freshener spray on the commode ... these guys have thought of EVERYTHING. Rooms are immaculate and the building is restored vintage eye candy. Breakfast was...
