beautiful hotel and location off the beaten path, on the basin. as beautiful and immaculate as this hotel is (this is our 2nd visit in 3 months) it is the staff that makes it fantastic. I especially want to thank our waiter extraordinaire, Elvar from the Muze for making my son and I always feel so welcome. The pool area...

HOTEL’S FAVOURITE REVIEW
Reviewed 26 February 2017

I had the recent pleasure of staying at the Mandarin Oriental, attending a conference it was hosting. I have previously stayed at its Las Vegas and Boston establishments. Check-in was efficient and very friendly, with the employee taking the trouble to accompany me to the lift. Room was spacious and clean. Breakfast choice was very good. All the housekeeping staff...

About Hotel's Favourite Review
MOWashingtonDCHotel, Director of Sales at Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC, responded to this review

Dear haydndavies2016, Thank you very much for your five star review of Mandarin Oriental, Washington DC. We couldn't agree with you more: its the genuine care and concern of our colleagues that really distinguishes the Mandarin Oriental experience. Of course, our location is great, too, and I would add that an even shorter walk in the other direction will take...

The hotel very much would like to consider a itself a peer with the likes of The Four Seasons, Fairmont, and Ritz. Its real strength is in marketing the brand of luxury but clearly has no idea what that means in practice or how to execute it. We had to ask about almost all amenities, including hotel restaurant, lounge, pool,...

We experienced a beautiful afternoon tea here. The service was wonderful! It was a lovely way to pass some time in the afternoon before heading back out into the city. This hotel also has a wonderful location. It is very close to The National Mall and other points of interest.

An outstanding hotel. Service is exceptional. Great location. Ask for Lynn of the Concierge Service. Great tips on tours, restaurants, etc. The hotel limo is for use, if available, during the day and is for Club Level reservations. The fitness center is great. Would highly recommend the High Tea. The Club Level is a little more expensive but well worth...

Stayed at the hotel for a conference at the end of March. I've stayed here in the past, where I've liked this hotel, and have always been impressed with the Mandarin Oriental chain in general. Food at the property is great. The only downside is that my room ended up being right near the train tracks that run near the...

From check in to check out, service is exceptional. This is an expensive hotel that is worth every penny. The restaurant, Muse, is outstanding; the rooms are spacious and beautiful; bathrooms are large and lovely. A real "treat yourself" hotel.

We stayed for one night in between international flights. Airport pick up and drop offs were flawless, check in was quick and painless and somehow, without any previous reservations, the Spa was able to immediately accommodate me for every service I wanted. (Pro tip - the pool, and thus, children, are located in the same lobby. For a fleeting moment...

The Mandarin Oriental is perfectly located for a weekend jaunt to Washington to immerse yourself in all the cultural experiences that make Washington a great destination. The staff in the hotel are excellent, especially the wonderfully helpful and professional concierges. The rooms are large and very well appointed with great views of the Potomac. The one drawback is that there...

The Mandarin Oriental is a gem of a hotel in a convenient DC location, between the major DC federal offices and just across the Potomac river from Arlington/Pentagon City. The atmosphere is serene and restful with just enough of the Western amenities mixed into the Eastern ambience. This hotel has some of the best beds and bathrooms in the DC...
