This is a wonderful historic home that is located right on Logan Circle. The owner Don, and staff are great. We enjoyed wonderful breakfasts that they provided, and they also shared recommendations for restaurants that were spot on. If you like to walk, you can walk to many tourist sites, restaurants, shopping, and even Whole Foods! It's about a 35...

The Chester Arthur House was the perfect spot at which to spend a few days in DC. The neighborhood is quiet and scenic, and is located a short walk to the Metro and many bus lines. Being over 100 years old, the building has its quirks, but is beautifully maintained and tastefully decorated in period style. The host and staff...

We're so grateful for the guest's nice words. Just to clarify, there are some creaks in the three-story staircase, not the whole house!

Thank you for making or stay in Washington perfect! We stayed for 4 nights in early September in the room on the top floor. Beautifully furnished, immaculately clean, with a fridge and small kitchen. Breakfast was amazing!

We have booked this Bed and Breakfast based on a recommendation in Lonely Planet. Out host was very helpful, knowledgeable and with an interesting background. This charming Victorian house is located in an affluent area with many excellent restaurants, close to many main museums. The breakfast was excellent, a healthy balance of cooked dishes and fresh food. Everything was well...

We appreciate the compliments. This is the first we’ve heard about a leak in the Magnolia Room before or since these folks were here, but we will check it out. We do wish this party had mentioned it at the time, as we could have addressed whatever it was right away. We go out of our way to ask guests...

This historic house has been restored beautifully with period salons and guest rooms with all the needed amenities. I stayed for three days and enjoyed a tour of the house, orientation to the area and its restaurants, great food for breakfast, and a quiet room for good sleep. I will definitely be back!

We loved everything about our stay at Chester Arthur House! Don, our host was wonderful and waited with kindness and patience to welcome us after a 2 hour flight delay. Carl cooked the most delicious and extensive breakfasts and we loved the company and conversation to start the morning. Both Don and Carl were helpful with tips and travel information....

My mom, daughter, niece and I stayed here last week, and what a wonderful stay it was. Don, the owner, was gracious, knowledgeable and a terrific host. Carl (I sure hope I remembered & spelled his name correctly!) the chef couldn't have been more fabulous if he tried. Everyday our breakfast was a feast and a true culinary treat. Normally...

My friend and I stayed for the weekend before we headed off to college and we couldn't ask for a better residence for our two nights there. A lovely historic home located less than a mile from the White House, it was great having the up-scale amenities and location for a relatively cheap price. We were able to walk most...
