What can you say about this five star hotel? Yes, the rooms are a tiny small but clean & well appointed. The staff have been amazing and their restaurant is first class. We have tea time in the mid-afternoon and free wine & beer at happy hour. What you're really paying for is location, location, location. Close to everything important...

This is our favorite hotel in DC. The people are incredibly friendly..vibe is retro cool. Location is great...The beds are firm (which depending on preference could be good or bad) but rooms are large and comfortable!

Here so that I could work through a snowstorm. Very interesting and unique property located in an old post office. Ceiling no joke 20 feet high in room, huge lion bust over the bed which I figured would probably kill me if it fell on me. Very clean, bed comfy, seemed quite quiet to me. Bar/restaurant seems interesting with outdoor...

I stayed here during for several days over the New Years period. Hotel has a nice decor- its an old renovated post office. Long corridors with high ceilings and different decor in the rooms which I liked. Room and bathroom was pretty small with no drawers to put your clothes, only a wardrobe and a desk. Our room was on...

The Monaco has a great, funky kind of a vibe to it. While the style is modern and eclectic it still has the bones of an historic colonial style hotel with wide sweeping staircases and original moldings. My room was very comfortable and I loved the style of it but it wasn't very large so while it was perfect for...

I have stayed at this property a number of times over the years. Its location is well positioned for events in Penn Quarter and Chinatown. Easy walking distance to the National Mall and the White House. Numerous restaurants and bars nearby. The rooms are decent sized and comfortable, but please avoid the bottom floor which actually is below street level....

My husband had a conference in the hotel so this is where we had to stay. I had walked past this hotel on previous occasions (it's a block away from Shake Shack!) and never been in. The public space is nice and our check in was warm - until the guy said that he had us on the 1st floor...

We went on Labor Day weekend last year. We were greeted by a friendly man at the front desk. He took a look at our crew (parents, toddler twins and a Boston Terrier), sized us up and said he was going to upgrade us to a King Suite—no charge. It was a very kind act and unexpected for a big...

The Monico is fabulous vintage hotel complimented by the Kimpton updated style. EVERY aspect of my visit met with ideal service. For example, I was overheard speaking of a technical challenge and staff responded with a call to engineering who graciously ascertained that the glitch was with me. Several mundane requests are addressed it professionalism. Doormen and bellmen go above...
