Stayed here for 5 nights with my partner. Great location and clean rooms. Building is old and quaint but great value. After reading some reviews I was slightly apprehensive about our stay. I was pleasantly surprised. Nothing wrong with this hotel, you get what you pay for!

This place looks interesting as you climb out of the taxi. It is an older building centrally located. It has a bar, sorry "tavern", in the basement which prides itself on an extensive and interesting beer list. But....going into the hallway the hotel has seen better days. Reception is tucked away at the rest, under the stairs. The elevator is...

Definitely has an off-the-beaten track feel, outdated but quaint. Rooms and bathrooms are tiny but clean, and the bar downstairs is excellent. Great service and a five-minute walk to the Metro station. There weren't many amenities (no fridge) and my TV remote didn't work, but for the middle of Dupont Circle the price can't be beat. The layout upstairs is...

All the bad reviews don't match our experience at all. The hotel smells clean and nice, the room is a good size with a nice bed and excellent toiletries and linens. Everything smells freshly washed. TV is a bit blurry and missing some major channels, some furniture is in need of repair or update, and the water taste is pretty...

Quite expensive hotel. Floors make lots of noise when stepping on them. Small shower, moving toilet. Air conditioner does not really work. Room was really hot, not enough towels, no parking around was found..

The property is in desparate need of refurbishment. The place is dirty, public areas dirty, rooms need upgrading, plastic covers on mattresses, staff attitude on reception is more than rude. Sometimes you take a risk on a hotel...this is not one worth taking!

I booked the Baron as it was in a good location, and looked to be the best reviewed for the price we paid. We arrived at about 7.30pm just as a quiz was about to start in the adjoining bar. As keen 'quizzers' we dumped our baggage so that we could take part. There is plenty of good beer to...

The taxi driver from Union Station said he had never taken anyone to stay there . That should have ben a warning. There is no service to clients, be it luggage handling, recommending eateries, taxis etc. The appearance of the place made me want to get back in the taxi. Downstairs is a lively bar with far to many beers...

The hotel is in a prime location, near multiple metro stations (a few minutes walk to Dupont Circle, 20-30 minutes walk to two other stations on the blue line). There are multiple nice restaurants, convenience stores, bakeries nearby. The hotel has a bar, not sure if it's the same owner. It's not too noisy when the bar goers are all...
