This hostel is great for a big group or a lone traveler looking to meet other travelers. They have a hardier breakfast and a socialization friendly eating room. The bathrooms are very clean and the rooms are pretty spacious. They also have a robust free social program where they hire local people to give dinner and take guests out to...

I had an amazing stay at this hostel. The breakfast was delicious and the employees were very kind and helpful. I had a great view of the city from my room. The showers had nice hot water and were clean. The beds were comfortable. The elevators worked perfectly. I was able to go to the metro with quick access. Only...

The hostel served its purpose. The staff was amazing and location was great. The stairs on the right of the lobby were called the adventure stairs by my kids because they are so steep and narrow. The only thing I would recommend to bring is your own pillow and shower shoes.

addisonbowman10: Thank you for the compliments, especially for the hostel Team! Yes, our 2nd set of stairs is adventurous. The spiral is so tight, that if you go up or down them quickly, most people are dizzy by the second flight. But that's the reason for the main stairs. Nice, wide, normal stairs. I like to think of it as...

Very good area. Good price. Lovely staff. Breakfast hits the spot! Would stay again! This place felt like a home away from home. Very clean bedrooms and bathrooms. Lockers big enough for a suitcase. Would highly recommend.

We found booking a room here was tight and so we ended up booking a hotel nearby our first night in town then a private room the first night at the hostel and shared quad the next night. Our private room 701 was a spacious corner room that has two big windows looking out on K Street and 11th Street...

This was my first hostel experience. The rooms were spartan but clean. Bathrooms were very clean. I participated in a couple of the activities and was glad that I did! The volunteers that led the tours were friendly and informative. I would definitely come back!

Stayed here one night on a short visit to downtown D.C., but I would stay here again. The hostel is centrally located and very close to all the main sites. Everything was clean and check-in was a breeze. Friendly staff made for a great evening.

I was pleasantly surprised by my stay at the hostel for several reasons: -The clerk at the front desk was very professional -The bed was clean and reasonably comfortable -The shared bathroom area was humble but well-kept -Quiet hours starting around 11pm were respected and enhanced by the insulation of thick walls (a seemingly foreign concept to newer hotels where...

Aside from the excellent downtown location, clean dorm rooms, FREE bfast of cold cereal, yogurt, fresh fruit, bagels & cream cheese, coffee or OJ, the STAFF is what sets this place apart! John in particular is extremely friendly. He prepares the breakfast early so it starts on time. Then he greets everyone warmly, including his coworkers, like a welcomed guest....
