Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

I arrived at the Conrad DC for one night (January 29 - January 30). I was in town with my small child to celebrate her birthday. When we arrived, I explained to the receptionist (Janae - not sure of spelling) that it was my child's birthday. Janae went above and beyond to make sure my child felt like a princess. We were walked to our room and given a clear overview of all of the amenities. A short while later someone delivered a small children's robe to the room and then moments later dessert with a birthday note from the Conrad DC was delivered. I was told Janae was behind all of this so thank you Janae for going above and beyond. The room was spacious and very clean. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel itself was amazing. We had dinner in our room from the onsite restaurant. The food was also good. The service and cleanliness in the hotel was awesome. The hotel is also located in a very nice and clean area only a few miles from the White House and many tourist attractions. The stores around the hotel are all luxury brands: Gucci, Chanel, Moncler, etc. I will definitely stay at the Conrad DC when I am back in town.

Hotel's Favourite
All I can say is WOW!! The service is top notch. From the moment we walked in, the welcome we received was excellent. Check in was a breeze. I like to recognize Nabila and Daria first. They took the time to familiarize us we the hotel and the surrounding area. Daria emailed us recommendations in the area. When I asked is there a refrigerator in the room, Nabila said we do not but we can send a mini one to your room if needed. That response alone deserves a standing ovation. The hotel checked on us the next day by text and asked us if still wanted the room cleaned because we slept in. We texted them and the room was clean upon our return. Next amazing experience was I asked for a band aid for my wife and they both asked is she ok. They even followed up with me the next day. Michael Schotens, the Food and Beverage Manager took the time to talk with us in the bar every night. He is an amazing staff member. He recommended us to watch the fireworks from the room during the 4th of July. Great firework display. Other members of the hotel I would like to give a huge shoutout to is: Matthias, who is a great bartender, Ernesto and Kiki at the front desk. Rooms are spacious with plenty of drawer space. The nearest metro station is about a 10 minute walk. If you need a taxi, you can usually find a few parked in front of the hotel. Definitely stop by the bar for a drink, the staff is great. I can honestly say, I cannot think of another hotel in Washington DC I would stay at than the Conrad. Thank you again for making our anniversary trip a memorable one.

This is clearly a mixed review. I really thought the space, planning, and decor was outstanding and certainly the front desk staff and the staff in the lounge were very very pleasant. The negative part was that the mattress in my room was perhaps the most uncomfortable mattress of any hotel I can remember in the past 10+ years. It is likely that in the past decade, I have stayed at more than 100 hotels. The mattress was as hard as a rock and I woke up at 4 AM literally composing this review. There is no way I will ever stay in that hotel again.

I have had the pleasure of staying here 20+ times since the hotel opened but it had been some time since my last visit. I think it is a mark of the excellence of this property that it is consistently outstanding whenever I stay. True to form, this was another excellent trip with high quality and comfortable rooms complimented by excellent service throughout the hotel. Breakfast staff are particularly special. Hats off to whoever does the recruitment and training here - they really manage to pick a fabulous team.

I was very impressed across all teams from front desk, bell and restaurant staff. From the welcome message from Joel to the excellent restaurant food and staff. It has been a long time since I have received such impeccable service cross functionally. Well done Team Conrad!!

The Conrad DC does everything right. Beautiful spaces, well designed rooms, and amazing service. We had a great experience with everyone we interacted with from the valet to check in to room service. But I want to give a shout out to Jeremy at the front desk who provided one of the best check in experiences I've had in a long time! Spacious, modern, comfortable super clean room with thoughtful design. Great room service that showed up quickly.

We were looking for someplace convenient during our stay in Washington DC and the Conrad was perfect for getting around town. We always enjoy the Hilton brand and were very satisfied and comfortable with the Conrad. We did several excursions and were able to walk within minutes to the meet-up locations. We had a corner room and loved how spacious it was. The automatic drapes were impressive. The service, food, and drinks were wonderful and delicious. When ordering room service be sure to read the fine print on the extra charges. We were in a bit of a hurry but it was still worth it. It just took us by surprise when we saw the bill. Definitely recommend staying here.

This is the 5th hotel I have tried in DC and I have finally found the ONE! The front desk and Sakura staff are fantastic! The food at the Sakura is delicious and a delighful way to start and finish the day. The three pelotons were always available so I was able to get a workout in every day of my 5 night stay. The location by City Center is perfect. Ahmed at the Front Desk made sure that we had an amazing room with a tub which is a bit challenging to find at any hotel these days. The bar is vibrant and the bartenders are friendly and helpful. Mimi in the Sakura Club is lovely. We will be back in a few months!

We arrived to check in, process was very smooth. Everyone was ver welcoming from Paul outside to May who checked us in, seamless process. We valet parked for the night, we were in town for the Gervonta Davis fight. Stayed for one night, room was very clean, bed was comfortable. The walk to Capital One Arena was about 15 minutes( more than likely quicker, but I wore heels so there’s that, lol). Sunday morning my husband comminuted with valet that we were checking out, we waited about 20-30 minutes for the car but many people were checking out at the same time. The only thing we didn’t notice until we arrived home is that one of the parking attendants hit my husbands car on the passenger side doors and back. I did contact the hotel spoke with the valet manager and waiting a call back from him once he reviews his cameras to find out what happened. Overall without hitting our vehicle the hotel was a great stay.

This was my second stay at the Conrad in DC. The first stay was excellent, and I didn't think the service could get much better until we experienced the Sakura Club level. Wow! Everything was first class, and the Sakura Club Ambassadors and staff went out of their way to make us feel special. I wish I could thank each person by name for their warm and welcoming hospitality, their professional demeanor, and attention to service. My husband and I are especially appreciative of how everyone went out of their way to accommodate our needs---without us even asking! It's so refreshing to see how much pride the Sakura Club team took in treating their guests so well. I do want to give a special shout out to the Chief Concierge, Jeffrey, who was able to get me into a Jose Andres establishment on short notice (one that I had been trying to get into for quite some time with every trip to DC!)! The next time I am in DC, I will definitely be staying in the Conrad Sakura Club level. It's the perfect place to get away for a couple of days and be treated like royalty!
