I’m usually a big Conrad fan but was disappointed with this stay. Visibly dirty room (sticky night tables and stains on the marble), the food on the 3rd floor tasted bland and was below average. The rooftop bar is the best part of the hotel. Great views of the city.
We spent our anniversary weekend (which turned out to be the Cherry Blossom season) at the Conrad Sakura Club! Christina, our club Ambassador, absolutely made our visit memorable- from the moment we arrived til we had to say goodbye! We even booked our return visit for July 4th weekend with her! We are really looking forward to seeing Christina again! Dining in the lounge: Breakfast- delicious meals made fresh by the Chef and served by the most attentive staff! (Devon has the most joyful personality and took care of addressing our needs!) The house made vanilla bean parfaits and overnight oats are a must try!! Dinner- wow! The Salmon is cooked to perfection by Chef Remy! Portions are the perfect size and leaves room to enjoy appetizers, dessert and cappuccino! Mekaitis aka Micky remembered what we drank every night and made sure to have our coffees and whiskeys ready! She’s a gem! Lunch- the Club is currently not offering freshly prepared meals in the lounge- however Christina provided the option to select from the Marketplace menu everyday! The Maryland Crab cakes are ridiculously amazing(zero filler- 100% crab!!) and the Crab Mac n cheese is creamy and fabulous! All day (24/7) snacks/drinks- we loved the large selection of ice cream bars, Walkers shortbread cookie packets, Kind granola bars, Smart popcorn, M&Ms, LaColumbe cold brews, Bubly sparkling waters and sodas! The fresh brewed tea selection is incredible!! Cherry Blossom was my favorite! Summit Rooftop- we enjoyed the views and their Chocolate salted cookies with Honey Lavender ice cream! Perfect treat after walking 15k steps! The rooms are incredibly comfortable and they even have a Nespresso machine and mini fridge. Gorgeous views from the floor to ceiling windows and oversized showers and luxury bathroom amenities! Thank you to the team for such a wonderful celebration! We now plan to make the Conrad Sakura Club our annual anniversary tradition- visiting DC at a beautiful time of the year! …
I don't get it - this hotel is mediocre at best. Stayed here 3 nights a week for 3 weeks straight. From the weird entrance/elevators set up to the "corner" rooms that are also weird, this was an overall disappointing experience. The towels are like cardboard, the showers are weak, the rooms in a strange set up/design. This just isn't any luxury experience. Great location, no doubt. But very noisy overnight on NY Ave side - lotta car/music/police/fire siren noise. Otherwise quite overrated.
Good hotel located in an amazing location. Rooms are modern and clean, but corner room layout is bit odd. All different layout and some corner rooms are better than others. Sakura lounge and staff was amazing. Very friendly and welcome greeting by Zineb and the team. Highly recommend getting a room with the lounge access. Minimal loyalty member benefits with limited or no room upgrade options, but still a good hotel. I recommend it.
This DC hotel is the best I’ve experienced as I travel to the area often. I usually stay at the Mandarin, but will now be a regular at the Conrad. It’s a top notch hotel with new amenities, a superior staff, and a perfect location. Highly recommend!
