Our micro-hotel is located in downtown DC's Penn Quarter, across the street from Gallery Place/Chinatown metro station. We're three blocks from the Washington DC Convention Center and one mile from Union Station.
Each small but mighty room features Connected Room technology - open the door, stream to your TV, and control climate and lighting with the Hilton Honors app. Our restaurants and social spaces include a diner and coffee bar, rooftop hangout, and whiskey bar.
Such a great find! Right across the street from Gallery Place metro, one block from a Capital’s game, and the nicest staff you could imagine. Jordan especially went out of her way make my stay one to remember. Will definitely be visiting again.
From the moment I walked into the lobby, until the second I departed five days later, EVERY employee--every single person--was friendly, inviting, generous, sincere, welcoming, helpful, accommodating. I felt like family! They treated me like a welcomed friend. Each staff person engages in casual conversation, asks about YOU and seems sincerely interested, and works to ensure you are comfortable and satisfied with your stay. No one was distracted, never too busy, always attentive to what guests might need, and seemingly intuitive to what guest might want. These folks are professional and should be held up as models for how accommodations staff should provide guest service. I was a little cautious about the location; in years past this was not an ideal neighborhood. But things have certainly changed; the years have been good to Chinatown, and it turned out to be safe and convenient. And although the rooms are small, the bed was comfortable, the shower was terrific, and there was little to no outside noise. I HIGHLY recommend MOTTO! The Crimson Cafe is, again, expertly staffed. I tried the burger with PEANUT BUTTER and was not disappointed. The rooftop bar is wonderful, even on hot steamy Washington evenings when a light breeze feels like air conditioning. And while I'm not a whiskey drinker, the downstairs whiskey bar had a great band (not too loud) and relaxing atmosphere. For those who imbibe, I believe there are more than 400 kinds of whiskey! So, if you're reading this review and debating, stop right now and book it! The Motto employees delivered superior guest service and I am eager to return, even if just to visit with these amazing people: Receptionists Brooke, Jenni, Raquel, bartender/server Angel and hostess Angel. Spectacular service!…
Great location, great staff. Hellen at the front desk was amazing and always helpful. Ruby in the bar was absolutely perfect! Great food, rooms, and drinks. Made for a perfect weekend stay. Rooftop bar is an awesome venue. Location was exactly what I hoped for.
Motto is perfectly located - a 10 min walk from National Mall. The hotel is funky and extremely clean but the most impressive aspect is the staff: Brooke, Hellen, Raquel and Kristina took exceptional care of us and were super friendly and accommodating. I will definitely stay here next time in DC!
I had a wonderful stay. My bed was comfortable and when I needed more towels Jordan at the front desk helped me get some. Highly recommend to anyone. Rooms were clean, and all of the staff were very friendly.
