filled with books and artwork, this place rocks! we stayed with friends, shared bathroom between the two rooms. one room was extra large with a sitting ara, the other smaller but adequate. no tv, but lots of books, and we did not miss the tv at all. the breakfast was wonderful, and we would have had dinner at the Inn...

The Tabard Inn is a beautiful old hotel full of nostalgia. However, I was extremely disappointed with my stay. I understand the narrow stairway; it is a historic hotel, true to its era. I even understand the small size of the room, as was the era. But, there was no TV which I found odd. The bathroom was small, but...

I used to live near this hotel and had always wanted to stay, so when we planned a trip back to DC I knew this had to be the place. I loved it, with its meandering hallways and multiple staircases and little quiet corners, but my husband, used to more straightforward layouts, struggled a bit, particularly with the suitcase. It...

When searching for a hotel in DC, it was hard to find one that ticked my usual boxes of being affordable, stylish and in a very central location. Fortunately, the Tabard Inn is all of these things. The location is very central, just a couple very easy blocks walk from Dupont Circle and the subway line there. It's no more...

We chose the Tabard Inn as a classic hotel in Washington, with a real sense of history and style. It certainly delivered on those counts. We had booked two rooms and were upgraded to a two bedroomed suite which was wonderful. The larger room was massive with comfortable seating areas, writing bureaus and an eclectic mixture of antique furniture and...

A recent stay at this hotel was wonderful. I opted for a second-floor room with shared bath, which was fine, and given the complimentary breakfast that came with the deal, very budget-friendly. There is an option to use a super quiet AC, or ceiling fan; my only criticism concerned the firm mattress, not quite to my liking, but minor, given...

This is a favorite place of mine to stay. Comfortable, clean, quiet and ideally located in Dupont; my favorite DC neighborhood. I usually stay in a B&B but this place offers an amazing restaurant, music and ambiance in the sitting room w a fireplace for cold night's. Rooms have WiFi and no TVs. Lots of space, great window views to...

This place is charming and unique, but I won't go back. I had reserved many weeks in advance for a 3 night stay and told the hotel I needed a first floor room since stairs are difficult for me and there's no elevator. I was assured of a first floor room. A few days before my arrival I got a...

I love this place, feels old yet it's comfortable and the food is amazing. If the weather permits, sit outside. It's a great breakfast spot and well worth it. Afterwards you can continue touring around DC because its not out of the way.

Charming, historic building in a great location. I loved eating breakfast in the courtyard and I enjoyed a few dinners that were more than respectable. The rooms are tiny and there are shared bathrooms which is to be expected with the price. I spent one night in the penthouse suite which was lovely! I have to say, though, that the...
