We spent two memorable December days at Ike's Canyon ranch. A search for wild horses led us to Jerry's place in Central Nevada and wild horses we saw, but we also got to see and experience this beautiful area through the eyes of our enthusiastic and spirited host. Jerry has built an amazing place worth seeing and spending time at....

We just got home from a three night stay at Ike's Canyon Ranch. The most fun we have had in a long time. We took Jerry up on his all day tour. We didn't expect a two hundred mile excursion through the most remote and beautiful parts of Central Nevada, but that's what we got. Beautiful weather (thunder, rain and...

Words are not sufficient to describe the short time that we spent at Ike's Canyon. Our host Jerry made us feel immediately at home. The stone cabin, the canyons, the ranch, the sound of the coyotes, the wild horses were a unique experience. It is nothing like your average guest ranch, it is not a one night stopover, it is...

I recently partook in an a self-supported mountain bike race, the Comstock Epic, across the width of central Nevada. The race organizer mentioned that there is a guest ranch right in the middle of a 200 mile stretch of almost unbroken wilderness. Amazing, nestled in Ike's Cayon at the base of a huge mountain range, there is a beautiful ranch...

Me and my dad spent 1.5 days in Ikes Canyon and in spite of the short amount of time we had a blast! We could choose between several rooms to sleep in, we picked the small stone cabin, which was great. Jerry took us with his truck to amazingly wild nature, through valleys and up on a mountain where we...

We went to Ike's Canyon to photograph wild horses, but this trip became so much more! After spending about 5 minutes with Jerry Elkins, we felt like we had known him forever. He and my husband spent the next two days trading jokes - he taught us a new card game - and toured us all over the beautiful countryside....

I live in San Francisco and decided to drive to Boston for the summer. Rather than staying at terrible motels or branded hotels, I went the independent route. This was the first place I spent the night and it was a winner from the get go. Jerry met me on the road to guide me in to the ranch. I...

My father in-law and I stayed for three nights with Jerry. We had a great time taking ATVs around the Monitor Valley to check out canyons, hot springs, and old mines. After hitting the trails we enjoyed Jerry's company and the "shared kitchen" experience, as we like to cook and share the stories of the day over our meals. The...

Jerry is a new found friend, and that's how he treats everybody. Accommodations are down right nice, conversation excellent and the scenery breath taking. I may rethink my central Nevada elk hunts! Having a bed, fire and a warm meal on a table makes short order of a hard day hiking the mountains. See you again for sure Jerry!

My family and I stayed a couple of days as part of a holiday travelling around the States. We could not have been happier with our choice. In an idyllic setting, but with plenty to do and see, we found it both entertaining but also so relaxing. The wild horses were a highlight as was the gorgeous Meredith, our host...
