We stayed at this hotel on an overnight excursion from Havana to Trinidad and other cities. It served its purpose, but I would have preferred staying closer to Trinidad. The hotel was OK, serving the purpose of hosting guests for one night only. The room was clean, beds good, bathroom newly renovated. But the bathroom came with no shampoo, no...

This is for a one night stop when doing an over night trip to Trinidad. Clean and food was good. ventilation in room worked. Interesting stay it felt like a hotel in the Soviet block in the 1970s so interesting for this alone. Nice people. Really interesting trip to mountains/waterfalls on russian trucks.

This is one of the best hotels we've had in Cuba. The rooms were renovated, with a small but nice and clean bathroom. The restaurant is quite good, and the best we've had in the government owned hotels. It is on walking distance of the fantastic city of Trinidad, therefore you can easily go into the city during the night.

This is the best place to stay in the Tropes de Collantes national park but it has its limitations. We stayed 2 nights in one of the 'bungalows', in a chalet complex reminiscent of Butlins at its best. The architecture is as curious as described elsewhere and as well maintained (March 2013) as possible in a sub-tropical climate. Occasional insects...

For the main purpose this hotel seems to serve, it meets the requirements. It appeared that the majority of guests to the place were part of overnight excursions from the main tourist areas to the North coming in to do the hiking tour in the Escambray Mountain Range. So as a result most of us were tired folks living out...

As most reviewers here we spent a night at the hotel as part of a Trinidad and hiking tour. The room is basic but clean, with a cute flower arrangement by the maids when we checked in. Staff don't speak much English if you are only and English speaking tourist, but they are all very friendly and nice. After all,...

During a two days excursion to Trinidad and Topes we stayed for one night in this hotel. After an adventurous bus ride to the mountain top through the dark of the late evening we were received at the reception desk with a free welcome drink. This hotel is situated amidst vegetation and forest. We spent one night here as part of our "overnight to Topes" tour. At first glance I was a bit freaked out but I did just leave a 5 star resort to take the tour. Everything seemed dark in the room when we entered and the lighting was not very good so there were many dark areas and I'm a...

Stayed here before hiking the following day in Topes de Collantes. Food is not bad. The room was basic, clean, and everyone in our room had a great night's sleep. Be sure to bring your own shampoo as there is none.

This place is simply awful...but it is the best of the few hotels in Topes. Surly, uninterested staff in the hotel itself. Restaurant staff are better and do offer a smile. Whilst the rooms are clean, the balcony doors do not lock and the curtains clings for dear life to the curtain pole. All very shabby, but if you into...
