Our tour company booked us here as a second choice & we are glad they did. The Casa is beautiful with great views from the roof top terrace over Trinidad. Maritza was a lovely host. We don’t speak Spanish & she speaks very little English but she was happy to talk to us about her family & the Casa. The room was spotless & comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, sat outside on the terrace. Great location for the centre of town & the bars & restaurants.

Maritza is an outstanding host! We spent 2 nights at her casa and she made every effort to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She was extremely helpful in making suggestions for activities, where to eat, and finding a trustworthy driver for us. Maritza and her helpers graciously provided coffee, wifi, and a delightful breakfast. Best of all, Maritza was more than happy to sit and chat and tell stories of her life. We had a perfectly lovely time at her casa!

We had 3 memorable nights in Maritza's house in Feb 2020. She is a wonderful Latina Mama. My wife was not well for half of our stay and Maritza was both sympathetic and helpful. She cooked her a special lunch and looked after her as if she were one of the family. Besides this the house was spotlessly clean; the breakfast was all we could wish for and we loved having the view of Trinidad's roofs from the terrace. We thoroughly recommend this casa.

We arrived in Trinidad early in the morning and they allowed us to leave our bags in the casa so we could go out and explore. Maritza is a lovely lady full of energy, very pleasant to have around and you can have a laugh or two with her, she's just so positive! She gave us a map, told what to do, suggested restaurants, and got us bikes which were brought directly at the house (6 cuc per day per bike). The staff working at the casa are wonderful and they also served our breakfast very early before departure, as we had to catch a viazul early in the morning. We needed also some clothes washed and they did that for us as well: The price is approx. 0,50 cuc per piece (less for socks, but can't remember the price) which I found fair enough. The casa is one of the best we had in Cuba. Wonderful, colonial style living area at the entrance. We had a room at the the top, facing the terrace. The house and room were spotless. Breakfast is the standard cuban breakfast, but we had a pleasant surprise: pancakes which was an exciting change for us. The terrace at the very top floor is fantastic and we spent a couple of hours in the evening staring at the night sky. I would recommend with no hesitation. Gracias Maritza y staff.

Very happy with my 2 nights at Casa Maritza in March 2019. Great location, good room (quiet upper floor room), good service, good food (breakfast and dinner/meals on order) and friendly staff. Señora Maritza is a good manager, ready with advice/recommendations and keen on giving you an enjoyable experience of Trinidad. The only negative is low pressure shower (warm/hot water) most likely because I was on the upper floor. Given the national condition, and in relations to a very good Casa otherwise, it's ok. Will return for sure.

The owner of this Casa does not speak English, but is a lovely lady who welcomed us into her home like long lost relatives. This is a typically Cuban house, quite dark inside, but our room was upstairs with a lovely terrace area where we could sit out, and where our breakfast was served. Delicious breakfast, very tasty. Our room was clean and comfortable, but rather basic compared to some of the other Casas we have used, and quite old fashioned. We were encouraged to use the lady's family's restaurant for meals - the one time we tried to do so, it was closed. However, this is Trinidad, so there are plenty of places to eat. It was about 20 minutes walk to the centre of Trinidad, my advice would be to make sure you have map. Trinidad is not the easiest place to find your way around! We had several detours trying to return to the Casa at the end of the evenings.

This was such a lovely, friendly place to stay. Central location but not in the noisier part of town. Clean, spacious rooms and wonderful views of the rooftops and mountains from the roof terrace, including the sun sets over the Caribbean sea. Fantastic breakfasts, and worth eating in for an evening meal too. We will definitely return if we return to Trinidad one day.

Maritza & her team were like family to us. We were very well welcome & feel at home. We had plenty of space on the terrace & could see the surroundings over the roof tops of Trinidad. We would have breakfast on the terrace withthe morning sunshine. A place to go back!

Casa Maritza is run by the lovely lady herself and her efficient and friendly staff. Maritza's English is far from perfect (although a great deal better than our Spanish), but one way or another we managed to communicate very well. The casa is very clean, offers generous tasty breakfasts (and huge evening meals on request at modest prices) and has lovely outdoor space; a small open courtyard on the ground floor, terracing on the first and a roof terrace, for even better views and drying washing (Maritza actually offered a very reasonably priced laundry service). The place is in a quiet but safe street just a short 5 minute walk to the Plaza Mayor in the main town. We found it the ideal base for over a week in this pretty city. Oh and wifi was pretty good as well (for Cuba). Thanks Maritza

We were due to spend three nights here but the room we were shown was dul, had no real window, just shutters that opened to an inner courtyard and the air in the room was such that we both found it difficult to breath. I’m sure the ladies who run the place mean well, but that downstairs room was not good.
