You are very lucky to have the chance to stay here. Waiheke is a stunning island but the East coast and Connells Bay in particular are dreamy. The cottage very pretty and private- see my pics. The sculpture park and grounds are stunning. Hosts are lovely, helpful and kind. We borrowed the double kayak for a trip to Rotoroa island.

We were told that a 4WD would be required to travel up and down the driveway. Having already booked a modest hire car before deciding to stay at Connells Bay, we were provided a 4WD to use on the property. Now that is amazing hospitality and thoughtfulness. That's how our brief holiday there started and it just continued. The cottage was... More

A beautifully restored cottage on a private Island beach to celebrate our wedding anniversary. Paradise. We slipped out of bed and into the ocean each morning and spent our days relaxing on the decks, strolling around the sculpture park or swimming. Superb hospitality. So wonderful that we've already booked for another two weeks at Christmas.

This was our third visit and the experience was as magical as ever. The perfect place for unwinding after a busy year. The location is simply stunning and we love the connection to nature. John and Jo are lovely hosts and I admire everything they have achieved with their property.

In a lifetime of travelling, our stay at Connells bay has been one of the most exciting and enjoyable experiences. The cottage itself is a delight with a serene location and every comfort. The sculpture park is an amazing creation, blending superb planting with witty art pieces and installations. I encourage all to visit and share this beautiful place.
