We arrived hours before 2pm check in on a wild, wet day. Most accommodating and friendly hosts let us have our room. Couldn't fault the room, service or location. Would definitely stay again. Free DVDs, free wifi, supermarket across road, quiet.

This motel is quite close to the Picton Ferry Terminal, maybe about 2 minutes by car. One would think that the traffic must be terrible but it is not the case. The street is quiet and also another 2 minutes or so to the waterfront area where there are a lot of restaurants. There are also 2 supermarkets close by....

We stayed here over Labour weekend and it was warm and clean. The beds are comfortable with good quality sheets and well made each day. The bathroom is well appointed and the kitchen well stocked. It is close to town, the ferry terminal and restaurants. The owners are very friendly and accommodating. Altogether a great place to stay. It was...

We rang the motel very early the day before our arrival to explain that because of a heavy fall of snow overnight, we were unwilling to drive in the very dangerous conditions, especially as a severe storm warning had been issued by the Weather Office advising people to stay off the roads. We had booked and paid for the motel...

Picton is a port town - most travellers would visit there on their way to catch the ferry to the North Island. We were no exception, staying there for one night in July. Great and very friendly service. Clean and warm rooms. A nice DVD collection at reception. Some internet is offered for free and then after that there incurs...

We stayed one night at the beginning of a 4 week South Island tour. My friend had a long international and national flight then a ferry crossing. I had hoped I had booked a comfortable and clean motel for her first night in New Zealand, I was not disappointed. We had everything we needed, the staff were delightful, there was...

I recently stayed here before boarding the ferry back to the North Island. The room was nice and large with a large flat screen tv. It was well appointed, with a kitchen. The room was exceptionally clean, with strong wifi. The manager was very nice and even stood out in the cold directing me to where to park. It is...

We visited Aldan Motor Lodge during our holiday in May. We planned to stay in Picton for just two nights but enjoyed the friendly helpful people that own and operate this place so much that we spent 5 nights. Wineries, food and cruises will absorb you for an extended experience at Aldan Motor Lodge. Highly recommend this place.
